"Whenever you're ready, agent." I heard a voice through the intercom which helped me calm my nerves. I reminded myself that this was just another test I had to pass.

But this isn't a normal test! I am going to get shot!

This was one of the hardest stimulation tests and all of them concentrated on different aspects. This one tested your body's capacity to take a bullet.

The game was simple, you're suppose to reach the other end of the 75m long room as fast as possible. But you get shot in the first few seconds. The pain inflicted by the stimulation suit is as good as a real gunshot. The more you do this particular stimulation, the more you get used to the pain and by the end of it, you'll be able to handle the pain and still run with it. I've heard it's the most excruciating test from Mike but I also know it's the most helpful, so I was really excited too.

I looked towards the glass wall, where the test examiners sat behind watching agents run madly across the hall and fall when a virtual bullet hit them. They probably found it funny too. I gave them a thumbs up indicating that I was ready to which they returned another thumbs up which meant they couldn't wait to shoot me. I proceeded to wear my glasses as I noticed the room turn dark and that's when I heard the countdown start.

As it struck one, a second later I was brought into the virtual world which pleasantly impressed and scared me at how real my surroundings felt. The only thing that reminded me I was in a stimulation room was my mind and the tight stimulation suit.

Before I could notice anything, there was a loud explosion behind me, where the force of the explosion threw me into thin air and I landed ten feet away on the hard mud ground with debris, sand and dirt flying around. Through the mist of the sand, a very hazy view, I saw a guy who was ushering me to reach his car faster. I couldn't make out the guy's blurry face but took off into a sprint so I could reach him faster. Somewhere in my mind, I don't know how, I knew I had a ten seconds to make it. But right after two seconds into my sprint, I was shot. My hands slowly reached to my now bloodied stomach as my whole body slowed down from its active motion. I felt numbness before the intolerable pain hit me. And when it did hit, it started spreading like wildfire. I let out an inaudible gasp and fell to the ground for the second time.

I think I'm going to die.

I struggled and opened my eyes to see a horizontal view of the guy still ushering me to hurry up. I blinked my eyes few times until my vision got clearer.

The guy was Aaron.

My breath hitched as I struggled to get up with the insufferable pain. I had to move. I had to get going. I had to get to Aaron. I somehow convinced my mind to not think about the pain and forced my body to move against its wishes. I couldn't walk in the beginning but I somehow managed to take four steps before I collapsed again.

I want to give up.

But I have a mission to succeed.

I opened my eyes once more before I visioned his smile one last time in my head and got up to do what I was set to do. My vision was shaky as I ran with all my power towards Aaron.
