“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!” I whispered.
I unwrapped myself from the bedsheets and looked to my right.
Niall was still asleep on the right side; He always slept on the right side.
I wouldn’t freak out over this normally but everything isn’t exactly under normal circumstances right now.
Somehow, through out the course of a night, everything went from hiding out in Niall’s flat, to hiding out in mine....
I stared at the clock.
12:54 p.m.
This wouldn’t make much of a problem; Allison goes to class by 10 and doesn’t get back until two or around there, so sneaking Niall out wouldn’t be a problem and we could still hang out a bit longer. BUT I invited the boys over and I said around One... Six minutes until One and the odds of Niall making it back to his flat in six are... one in a million.
Niall was still asleep, probably because of a hangover, and I had to think of a solution. Alone.
“I need a back story... Yeah a back story,” I thought, “What though?”
I thought it over while I took the time to change.
I kept it simplistic: a simple ring, blue skirt, black top, and black shoes.
I could lie and-
knock-knock.
Well...Shit.
“Ugh!” I groaned, but not even that woke up Niall who stood five feet away from me.
I walked out to open the door and walked into the living room where the apartment door stood next to the kitchen swinging door.
“Hey boys,” I chirped with a happy face. At least a happy face trying to cover up a worried face.
“Hey,” they all chirped.
“Hey, do you know where Niall is?” asked Zayn while jumping onto my sofa, “We went around his flat to pick him up, you know all get here at once, but he wouldn’t answer his mobile or the door. Did he go out or something?”
“I don’t-... He might have-.... maybe he-” I tried to say it out loud, but there was no realistic lie I could think of, “He’s sort of-”
“He’s here isn’t he?” challenged Louis with a wild grin, “Are you hiding him in the kitchen?” asked Louis while racing over to door.
“No...” I stuttered “... He’s kind of...” I tried to choose my words carefully but there was no way I could say his location without insinuating the obvious, “In my room...” I muttered sheepishly.
“Why do I keep backing out of these bets!?” complained Liam.
“Another one?” I asked offended, “Really? Well it’s not what you think!”
It was though. This is that horrible part of mouth diarrhea where I speak without thinking... that’s usually when my most brilliant lies come though... I should do that more often.
To do list: Stop thinking.
“Oh really?” smiled Harry cheekily, “Then what is it really?”
“Please, enlighten us with your truths!” teased Zayn, “Louis, you owe me twenty more pounds!”
“Ava, seriously?” complained Louis, “When I think you’re going to move fast with him, you don’t, that cost me a hundred pounds! And when I think you’re gonna take things slow, you don’t! Is it your life mission to make me bankrupt before I understand how to do my own taxes fully!”
