“How about a G,” proposed Niall, “and then we can switch off to a-”
“What do you think of Alicia?” I asked him suddenly. I couldn’t get her off of my mind.
“What?” he asked me unexpected, “Not much. She seems like a sweet girl. Nice, polite and very talented.”
“You know the tour thing isn’t exactly set in stone yet,” I told him, “So I wouldn’t get used to her if I were you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked me surprised by my tone of voice.
“Nothing much,” I said trying to recover from that sudden bitch-atude, “Just that since you two probably won’t see much of each other since you’re both just so busy, there won’t really be any point in establishing a friendship.”
“Well thats stupid,” he chuckled while strumming his guitar, “That’s like saying we should give up on us since it would be too hard. Yet we made it work.”
“So you would go the extra mile for her?” I asked him while setting my guitar down.
“Stop Ava!” I told myself, “Just stop!”
But I couldn’t. Something inside of me was holding on to this topic religiously.
“What is wrong with you?!” asked Niall weirded out, “You never act like this, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong,” I told him and slightly to myself, “Lets just... Let’s just get back to the song, okay?”
But there was no song to get back to. Liam called Niall to tell him they were starting to get ready and Nialls should be too.
I walked Niall towards the lobby of my apartment building were Zayn waited with a car to pick him up. There was no paps that could recognize their car and slow them down.
"Alright then," said Niall, "I'll see you at the Brits then?"
"Yeah," I replied, "I'll see you there. Tell the boys I said hi."
Niall nodded and leaned into to me to give me a kiss. Something inside me told me no and I turned my head slightly leaving my lovely boyfriend to kiss my cheek instead
I saw Nialls face loud and clear. He knew something was wrong with me. The only problem was that I didn't. Niall didn’t touch on the subject though and I silently thanked him for that.
"Bye," I told him awkwardly.
"Uhu."
That was all I got. No 'Love you,’ or things of that sort, like I usually did. All I got was uhu.
Fan-fucking-tastic.
"Ooh," I heard Zayn tease towards Niall as the door opened, "trouble in paradise?"
As the door closed I saw Zayn look back at me worried.
I tried to fend him off with a fake generous smile. It didn’t work.
My fake generous smiled wouldn’t work on the boys anymore. They were starting to take hint when something was off.
I didn’t like it.

I was signing papers and CD pamphlets all while trying to ignore the ringing in my ear from all the screaming. It was lovely though.
I tried not to trip over my long dress in my big golden heels.
"Please sign this!" I heard someone shout. I turned to my left and a young girl, around the age of 14, was trying to keep her paper safe from the aggressive crowd.
