"But.." Blaise tried reasoning again, but the professor shook his head.

"No Mr Zabini, it does not matter. This class will have a seating arrangement, so please stand at the back of the class." He ushered us back and I realised I was backing up into someone.

I turned around.

"Sorry." I muttered down on her. How many times was I going to apologise to this girl?

Y/l/n shook her head in telling me it was alright and I turned around, her behind me.

"Now," The professor started. He looked around the room, as if he didn't have an already planned out seating arrangement and was deciding at this very moment.

"It's going to be boy, girl, boy girl, and so on," They professor paused, eyeing me. I clutched the strap of my bag tighter.

"Very creative." I muttered, Blaise chuckled.

"You Mr Malfoy, here," He pointed. I quickly followed and heard him instruct someone to sit beside me. I started taking out my things.

"Hello." She greeted as she took a seat. She was very polite.

"We are always going to be bumping into each other aren't we?" I asked myself, turning my head to face hers.

"I guess so," She paused, "I'm not so bad." She chuckled, taking out her things.

"Of course not." I blurted out. Flustered, I looked away to the front.

I heard her chuckle. "Thank you I'm glad you think so."

I fiddled with my ring again under the desk.

"Excited for the first ever lesson?" She asked me. I turned to face her.

She wanted to start conversation with me.

"Well," I eyed the professor instructing Blaise to sit beside Greengrass who refused to have Blaise next to her.

I turned back to her.

"I guess it all depends on the teacher, doesn't it?"

"Yes well, if we've got a rude teacher I'm sure our last year won't be so relaxing." She leaned in so I could hear her lowered voice as she eyed the teacher behind me.

"Personal space, Y/l/n." I teased, trying to at least give her a small smile. I didn't want her to think me of rude as such, but I was very shy.

I leaned back in my seat and turned toward the teacher who looked just about finished with the seating arrangements.

I side glanced at her, and her cheeks were a light pink, complimenting her eyes nicely, but I quickly turned away as she leaned back and faced the front.

"Right then. We're straight away getting started on an assignment, please look to the board for the instructions, and you can get started right away! If you have any questions, feel free to ask." He sat down in his chair and opened a book.

A weird choice of book in my opinion.

"A bit lazy isn't he?" I blurted out to Y/l/n.

She giggled and I couldn't help but smile to myself. "He is reading a terrible book. "Why Shakespeare is out of his mind: the truth." what absolute nonsense." She turned her attention to the board and I copied.

Pick a partner, and brew any one of the following potions on the board. This will take 1 month.

"Because?" I asked genuinely, wanting to know. I was a Wizard, I didn't know of such Muggle people.

"He talks of love, prejudice, inconsistencies in our behaviours as humans, good and evil.. and this professor think he is out of his mind? I don't think I've heard anything worse."

I nodded, truly interested. "And your favourite book by him?" I asked.

"He writes plays, my favourite is Macbeth." She turned to the board again. I wrote it down, wanting to remember it.

I looked to the board, and most of the potions were potions I had never heard of.
