"Draco Malfoy." I heard the Dark Lord speak his name many times, this time was different.
"Yes, my lord?" He replied to him sheepishly, his head bent down slightly.
His platinum hair was always neatly swept to the side, naturally, and he wore his usual black suit.
As usual, the Dark Lord sat at the head of the table, while the other Death Eaters sat on the sides, looking to him expectantly.
Young girls such as myself, Daphne and Pansy were ordered to stand to the side, as Voldemort believed in a patriarchal way of life, that young women should not ever have the 'privilege of tasting what it was like to be a death eater' he'd say many times.
Given who my family was, I was forced to be on the dark side as they called it, even though I did not want to be.
I was thankful though, that I did not bear the death eater mark, but it was unfortunate for the likes of Malfoy, and his friends, who were forced to have it branded onto them like animals.
There were older women who bore the dark mark who were that of Malfoy's mother and his aunt, they were his loyal servants, especially his aunt, devoted to him especially for all her life.
"I have a task for you," He had trailed off, awaiting Malfoy to arrive to him from his seat on the table, to pull his left sleeve up.
Voldemort pointed his want to it, and set him the infamous task that he was forced to do. I had to hold back my gasp.
Even though Malfoy did not notice me, who was cast to the side, I noticed him, and his troubles and his worries.
These terrible thoughts had distracted me from Charms as I felt Daphne get up from beside me.
Those days were thankfully over.
I got up quietly walking behind Pansy and Daphne, kicking any small pebbles that had gotten in my way of walking off to the side.
"Hey!" Someone had exclaimed really loudly and I guessed I had hurt someone with the last pebble I kicked. I looked up and it was Nott who had expressed his surprise. Malfoy and Zabini stood beside him.
"Terribly sorry." I smiled, tucking my hair behind my ear, as I felt my face becoming warm as I was flustered. Daphne and Pansy had stopped beside me as they noticed I was held up in conversation.
"What did that poor pebble do to you?" Theo put his lips in a thin line, joking with me.
"Kidnapped my cat, and many horrible things." I shook my head joking, the boys chuckled back, except Zabini.
"It did?" He exclaimed.
I chuckled and started to walk off. "Of course it didn't." Daphne exclaimed, rolling her eyes.
I heard Zabini chuckle. "I'll catch up with you later about our assignment." I'd heard from behind me as he told Daphne. I looked back and she rolled her eyes again, ready to leave.
"Let's go Pansy." She muttered. Pansy turned after I noticed she waved good bye to Nott. Daphne scolded her quietly as we walked off.
Before I turned away I had looked at Malfoy and he looked back at me.
"Don't wave at Nott!"
"Why on earth not? He's good looking." Pansy rolled her eyes playfully.
Daphne sighed, waving her off.
We walked off to Lunch, and we continued to rest of the day until dinner.
I noticed, that those three boys did not show up.
