As I watched everyone in the common room from the bottom of the steps of the girls dorm, the commotion growing louder and louder, my eyes landed on Malfoy, Zabini, and Nott in the corner by the window, whispering furiously to each other, each holding a piece of crumpled parchment in their hands.

"This is insane," one said.

"Hell if I'm going," the other said.

"Should we just go?" Another asked in defeat.

"How could you even say that?" Their friend whispered back.

Daphne and Pansy had come to stand beside me now, their eyes studying the room, as nearly all hell broke loose.

The noise had grown louder and louder and suddenly whispering wasn't enough, soon people were outright yelling.

"I'll lock myself in the dungeons for the next week until this is over if I have to.." Daphne told Pansy and I.

"Does McGonagall even know? Let's go tell her." I offered, putting my hand on Daphne's shoulder, and my other on Pansy's arm.

"No, we shouldn't leave it's dangerous." Pansy responded back a bit loudly, so Daphne and I could hear her over the crowd.

My worst fear was coming true.

Everyone was yelling at each other, the darkness was seeping it's way back, my father was expecting me. What more worse?

Suddenly, another round of owls came in and thankfully, they were kind ones I recognised, dropping our letters off quickly and flying out.

"It's from McGonagall." I stated as I opened it with hope. More voices erupted.

Dear Witches and Wizards,

We have gone under lockdown until further notice.

You are instructed to stay in your common rooms and under no circumstances are you allowed to leave.

Please stay in your rooms, and do not leave. We will prevail when the time comes.

Kindest regards, Headmistress McGonagall.

And like clockwork, we all went to our rooms, shutting the doors, and shutting the windows.

We were allowed in the common room, but I think it was way too open for anyone to feel safe in.

"This is disgusting what they're putting us through." Pansy stated.

We didn't bother changing into nightwear, we planned on staying up, like the rest of Slytherin was.

I was not going to let my guard down.

My friends and I, we took turns sleeping, and I didn't mind whatsoever.

It was late in the night and Pansy had woken me up. It was my turn for the next two hours.

It was way past 9pm, and I knew now for sure that I was my father's enemy, as I had betrayed him in his words.

Rubbing my eyes, I got up, scared to look out my closed window, I peaked through my door. There was small chatter from the common room as expected, no one was going to sleep in these circumstances.

I hesitantly walked down, my shoes on, with my comfortable jeans and a zipped up red jacket, and my wand in my pocket.

I looked around tiredly. Only a few were in here, but I noticed someone as I always had as he was so strikingly noticeable. How could you not notice him?

He sat with his legs crossed and his hands in his lap in front of the fireplace, wearing a blue jumper with black jeans, and white shoes. His wand lay in front of him just before the fireplace.
