Blaise was already in his uniform and woke me up. I must have fallen asleep in the common room.

"Mate, that's so bad for your back. Get up and stretch." Blaise went back up to our room and I sighed, getting up to get ready for school.

I realised there were already a few awake in the common room eyeing me, giggling, all of that sort.

I hurried a bit more up the steps and shut the door.

My right hand was bandaged and was still throbbing with pain. I needed to push through it and get through another day.

I was planning to start brewing the potion today, otherwise we wouldn't meet the deadline.

I walked down with Theo and Blaise to breakfast and they sat down from across me, eating straight away.

I had the potions book open next to me reading a bit over it. All of a sudden, someone slid into the seat next to me.

"Malfoy." She said, and I snapped my head a bit too quick towards her.

"Y/l/n," I paused, turning to her. "What's wrong?" I asked.

She grabbed my hand and looked down at the bandages. "I really need to apologise. I am so sorry." She was still looking down and I was looking at the top of her head.

I eyed Blaise and Theo and they tried looking on discreetly.

"What do you mean? It's not your fault?"

She looked up at me and softly hit my shoulder. "Why did you do that anyways?" She still had my hand in hers, and she was tracing small circles over it with her thumb.

"Nobody should be tolerating jerks." I answered.

"Hmph." She groaned quietly and turned to get a plate, putting food onto it.

"Well," I slid the book closer to her. "we're starting today, how's that sound?" I asked, glancing at her.

"Sounds good, after dinner in the potions room."

I nodded and ate. She started a small conversation with Blaise, but again I was interrupted when her friends came over.

"Y/n, we looked everywhere for you. You just rushed out." Greengrass told her from behind Blaise. She sat down next to him and Parkinson sat down next to me, across from Theo.

"I'm sorry Daphne." She smiled at her and Parkinson.

"Who said you could eat here now?" Blaise said to Greengrass.

"Too late to move I've already put food on my plate."
Parkinson smirked, eating her breakfast.

Greengrass has smiled at him triumphantly and ate her breakfast.

I eyed Blaise and Theo as they eyed me. I shrugged it off and finally ate my breakfast.

Blaise leaned in to me while the others chattered away. "Pranking today, you in or out this time?"

"Blaise," I sighed.

"Come on mate, last time we didn't get caught, this time we won't either."

"Maybe around Christmas when it's a bit laid back, but I'm out for now." I took a bite of toast.

He sighed and nudged Theo from his conversation with Parkinson. "He's out."

Theo sighed and eyed me. I shrugged. "Don't look at me Theo." I chuckled.
