"What did I say earlier this morning? I said no pranks." I told Blaise who was behind Theo, sitting down on his bed.

Theo leaned on my bedpost.

"Listen, it's just a bit of fun, they'll let us get away with it, come on.. after dinner, it will be fun." Theo tried to convince me.

I quickly remembered what I'd told Y/l/n. "Oh yeah, I have to meet Y/l/n after dinner actually, to discuss our potions assignment due in a month." I saved myself, almost smiling.

"Yeah, I promised the same to Greengrass, you think I'll actually bother showing up?" Blaise scoffed, slinging a rubber band to the ceiling. "Absolutely not." He concluded.

"Too self centred she is." He muttered, shaking his head.

I rolled my eyes.

"You are exactly like her, Blaise." Theo smirked, turning around to Blaise.

"Am not." Blaise retorted, giving a glare to Theo before he looked back to his pranks and jukes that lay on his bed.

"You guys can't force me, and now I'm going to go have a nice dinner," I paused, looking at Blaise particularly. "Out of trouble." A smile crept on my face when he sighed dramatically.

I turned away hearing Blaise mutter something. Theo never followed so I assumed he was in on pranking with Blaise. I rolled my eyes at the thought again while I pocketed my hands, exiting the Slytherin common room.

I went along all the way to the Great Hall and I felt eyes on me. But, it must have not been as it was probably just a bit of paranoia.

I looked for a seat, and what do you know? Y/l/n sat eating her dinner, the red potions book on our assignment in her hand.

I shrugged, walking up to her and sliding into the seat beside her. She muttered a 'hello' and went back to the book.

"Extra studying I see?"

"Yeah.." She trailed off answering me, without taking her eyes from the book.

Was it weird of me to want her to look at me?

"Wait, Malfoy?!" She turned to me finally realising it was me who she was talking to. I nodded, allowing myself to smile.

"Hello." I greeted, turning away from her eyes, pouring some juice and putting food on my plate.

"What are you doing here?" She asked me.

I raised an eyebrow as I side glanced her.

"Just here for an early discussion on our assignment." I lied.

I almost said, you have an imaginary pull that I can't stay away from.

But I didn't.

She nodded, putting the book in between us on the wooden table for us to share over.

I skimmed over a few of the ingredients again as I ate.

Her hair would often brush against my shoulder, and my right hand that rested on the bottom of the book to keep it open.

It would be easy to do this assignment as she was a Slytherin and I didn't have to travel to another common room.

"So?" She asked. I snapped out of it and looked at her.

"Sorry, I was in thought, what did you say?"

"I asked where your friends were?" She inquired, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Well," I paused, resting my fingers on the edge of the table, she watched me intently. "They want to get into some trouble." Her eyes widened slightly.

"No, no.." I trailed off quickly, looking to where the teachers were sitting behind her. I laughed lightly.

I put my hand on her shoulder without thinking as I leaned in. "They just wanted to play some pranks, I wasn't really in the mood." I confirmed and she chuckled to herself, going back to the book and food.

"It sounds like fun though."

I scoffed. "Trust me it's not when they're involved, they're so bad at being stealthy." I smiled.
