A few minutes had gone by while I read the important contents of the book.

We needed special ingredients obtained from dangerous places, but luckily, our potion professors always had them in the supply cupboard.

"Now we know what we need, let's get going and finish this as soon as we can." I hurried us, and we walked out.

"Why so eager to finish?" He asked me.

I clutched the red leather book closer to my chest. "I think it's just first day jitters. I'd love to just be on top of my work."

"That makes sense, but don't stress yourself too much over it, or it won't turn out well." He warned.

"Yes thank you.. why the sudden interest?" I think that I had sounded annoyed towards him.

"Just was wondering, I'm not in any sort of mood to be rushed." He answered.

"Right." I muttered, my head down as I walked ahead, into the classroom. But as soon as I was about to take my seat, the bell had rung, and I groaned quietly.

"Cheer up would you?" Malfoy smirked, putting his things in his bag that swung over his shoulder. "I'll catch you maybe after dinner to discuss the assignment." He told me as he walked out.

He slapped a hand on the back of Blaise and walked out with Theo and him.

I sighed, not even getting the chance to respond as I packed up my bag, feeling a presence behind me.

"Hey Daphne, Pansy." I turned around greeting them. Daphne had her arms crossed tapped her foot while Pansy just smirked at her.

"Oh come on Daphne, it's not so bad." Pansy told her as we started walking out.

"Y/n, you could have let Zabini partner with Malfoy, and I with you, and it would not have been a problem since Pansy seems to like Nott so much-"

"-I do not!" Pansy gasped, hitting Daphne with her potions book on her shoulder weakly.

I had to laugh. "I'm sorry, it had just blurted out. What's so bad about Zabini anyways?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at her.

"He's just," Daphne paused. "Himself." She rolled her eyes.

"And that's bad?" Pansy asked. We had reached our next class, Charms.

"It's bad when he's obsessed with himself, looking in the mirror every 5 minutes admiring his reflection." Daphne answered.

"Don't you do that?" I asked, laughing as I reached into her pocket taking out a small mirror that I knew she always held around.

She groaned and walked to row of tables that fit 3 people.

"You aren't supposed to expose me like that.." She sighed, unpacking her Charms text book. Pansy and I did the same.

"Well, you must fancy Malfoy don't you?" Daphne teased me, getting back at me. I felt my face heat up and I looked away out the window to think about something else.

"Of course not, don't be silly. I don't even know him."

"Well, we always saw him around the Dark Lord at the manor, didn't we?" Pansy whispered to us.

"Doesn't mean I know him." I crossed my arms.

I thought back to those times.
