"We'll go and get you some dinner okay? You must be hungry having not eaten in 5 days." Pansy stood up.
"Now that you mention it, I'm really hungry." I rested my hand over my stomach, now feeling the hunger.
I guessed that Zabini and Nott were doing the same thing as they got up and exited with Daphne and Pansy.
Now it was just Draco and I.
"You must think horrible things of me now." He looked towards me, I felt it. A moment later I returned.
"No, I don't, I couldn't. What happened wasn't your fault. In fact, by trying to save me, you nearly died in the process."
He grunted as he tried to move, and stand up. He stood, but with a small hunch, then straightened after, a face of slight pain as he walked towards me.
He was shirtless but with the amount of bandages he had wrapped around him it was like he wasn't.
"How can you even stand? I can't." I asked.
"I'm stiff, but I don't know why I didn't get as worse as you." He was now next to my bed, uncovering the blanket to see my damage.
Only my right ankle like I felt slightly before was wrapped.
"I feel like I completely told you at the wrong time." He said.
"...I didn't know how to react to it. I had no idea."
He sighed, looking out the window behind me then back to my eyes.
"Come on.." he made his way to my forearms, helping me to stand.
"No, I can't Draco-"
"-You didn't survive all of that to say you can't now." He helped me up to my feet, he was way taller than me I noticed every time, my hand resting in the crook of his neck, and his arm around my waist as we started walking around the Infirmary slowly, soon in a few moments he steered us to the big glass paned window.
I noticed that we were still in our pyjamas from that night, and I shivered slightly from the remembrance of the cold lake.
"I really thought you didn't make it that night, Y/n." He rested his hands on the window sill, and so did I to keep my balance.
"What were the factors contributing to that?" I grew curious.
"You just weren't moving.. unresponsive." He muttered, looking out into the night.
I didn't know what to say, he looked troubled, or traumatised, and I didn't say anything, until my dinner was brought by my friends.
Slowly, with the help of my friends I was taken back to my bed, Draco still by the window sill, chattering with his own friends.
"Oh Y/n, you should have seen how scared Malfoy looked." Pansy reflected on the night, as I ate a piece of my dinner. I was silent.
"He thought you were already gone. A bit daft if you ask me." Daphne rolled her eyes.
"I had seen from the distance that he carried you out the lake," she continued, whispering "so I guess it was natural instinct to guess that he was the one who had done it."
I just listened to them, as they caught me up on all the things I had missed, sneaking glances at Draco Malfoy from the corner of my eye.
