It was nice.
We stood on a stone ledge before the beach.
Sand everywhere, and then the ocean lay at the end of it, and the sun was nice today. I squinted as it shone in my eyes.
I could see Y/l/n peering up at me to get a reaction from the side, and I couldn't help but crack a small smile
"So?" She asked expectantly.
I looked down on her. "I think it's really nice. What do you usually do?" I asked, looking around. There wasn't any people at all, I guess it was in the colder season now.
"Play games, swim in the water, anything really." She answered, taking her shoes off, stepping in the sand.
"It's safe to swim in that water?"
"Yes, sometimes," she giggled.
"Sometimes?" I grew more curious by the minute. I was about to follow her when she stopped me.
"Take off your shoes, otherwise sand will just get stuck everywhere. And it's better without."
"Fine.." I took my shoes and socks off, and stepped in the sand. It had a weird touch like dirt, but more thin.
I followed her and when we got closer to the shore the sand looked like it was mud.
"Sometimes?" I asked again as we walked down.
"Yeah I mean, there are dangerous animals in the ocean, especially Magical ones. Not this close to the shore though, so don't worry. They're only in the deep area."
We kept on walking and we reached the water. "That's seaweed." She pointed at an area where it looked like green grass lay under the water. It wasn't that far from us, and actually some was washed up on shore.
She took out a plastic bag. "Here, we need to at least fill up a quarter then we're out of here." She smiled, rolling up her skirt to step into the water to the fresh seaweed.
I only watched from behind her, the water touching my feet every now and then, but she looked back, urging me to come in with her.
I shivered, rolling up my jeans and entering the water after her to the seaweed.
We stopped.
"I'll open the bag, you collect it." She smiled and I tilted my head sideways.
"Fine, fine." Rolling up my sleeves, I quickly reached in and collected a handful. I put it in the open plastic bag she held and some water splashed onto her face.
"Malfoy!" She almost screeched.
"Oh come on, it's just water."
"Seaweed water.." she muttered.
"Alright princess, you can take a shower when you get home." I chuckled, turning away to walk back to the shore.
"I know what you are inferring and it's not true." She laughed from behind me as we reached the shore.
She put down the bag next to our shoes and sighed, looking at the ocean.
"Want me to apparate us back?" I asked, peering at her.
"We just got here, I wanna walk around a bit." She complained.
I stared at her.
"Come on then," she grabbed my forearm and guided us near the shore, walking along it. The end was very far so I didn't know how long she wanted to even walk for.
Suddenly, a big wave came and splashed us a bit on our legs.
"Oh come on, this is a new skirt." She muttered, rolling up her skirt just a bit more.
"Like I said," I laughed. As we walked along the water, me being the closest, she nudged me a bit towards the water, playing it off. I chuckled quietly to myself. I knew what she was trying to do.
She did it again and again until my ankles were in the water. We kept walking.
"You think I don't know what you're doing?" I allowed myself to smile and she looked at me confused.
"I have no idea what you're talking-" I guess I couldn't help myself, but I had pushed her towards the water where she fall back on her hands.
I couldn't help again but laugh, truly, I was entertained.
"Funny isn't it?" She sighed, smiling a bit. I nodded as I kept laughing, my hands on my knees.
I guess I wasn't paying attention, because she grabbed my wrist and pulled me down in with her.
