Yes, I was angry.

Angry at how stupid I have been, to let Cedric Diggory, of all the wizards and witches in the world to do that to me. I nearly lost my life.

My back was aching and I was wrapped in many bandages.

I guessed some damage occurred to my wrist as it was also wrapped in bandages, along with my right ankle.

I didn't know where I was going anymore.

I felt disappointed, and upset. So upset, that I nearly lost my life because of a boy who could not take no for an answer.

My life has always been threatened. By my father, and the dark side of the Wizarding World that always followed behind me.

Pansy and Daphne had come and sat on either side of my bed, their hands resting on my thighs over the white heavy covers, comfortingly.

I only felt but a tear drop and wiped away the rest.

"Oh Y/n.." Pansy comforted me.

"I can't even feel my legs or even have the strength to stand.." I whispered, wringing my hands together in my lap out of shyness, my head down.

Daphne wiped the hair out of my face, tying it back loosely.

I heard the boys fall into quiet chatter a few metres away beside us. I hadn't even talked to Draco about it yet.

"This is just something that has made you stronger, I promise." Pansy told me. I nodded.

"Well.. would you like to hear something that will cheer you up?" Daphne smiled and whispered, eyeing Pansy. She nodded and looked at me expectantly.

"Try me." I smiled, curiosity spiking.

"Since the death eaters have all been arrested and taken away, McGonagall announced yesterday that there will be a ball, where we can all chill, relax, and move on from this scary period. Now isn't that nice?" Daphne smiled, with Pansy nodding again.

I smiled and nodded, already thinking about what I could wear. But how could I even attend if I couldn't even walk?

"But, my legs.." I tried moving them, they barely moved.

Pansy rubbed her hands over the covers where my legs were, comforting me, but it didn't work, my legs didn't work.

"How did it happen?" She asked me.

"I was just sitting on the ledge.. I guess it was a bad decision, but I didn't expect my own classmate to turn against me." I sighed. "he asked me out once more, and when I said no, he pushed me off through under the railing, I held on just in time.. and then Draco found me holding on."

The railing had two bars, a top bar and the bottom bar, where I was sitting and resting my arms atop of that night. There was a gap where just about anyone could fit through under the second railing.. and I guess that was my downfall.

I was too trusting.

"We were so scared that night, you were just laying there," Daphne wore a sad and nervous look on her face. "Malfoy was soaked, but you weren't when we found you."

"We guessed a heating charm." Pansy concluded.

"It will take a lot.. to get rid of me." I whispered, looking at my friends. They smiled, and engulfed me in their kind and warm hugs.
