Steve ~
I stayed up all night, thinking about what Eddie said. He felt trapped? I didn't mean to. I really didn't. Why am I like this? The doctor walks in. "Steven? Here are your discharge papers." He says, handing a clipboard. I sign them and grab my clothes.

I change quickly and remember that I don't have a car. I call Robin. "Hey Robin, could you come pick me up please?" I ask into the phone. "Steve? Where's Eddie?" She asked. "Um.. I don't want to talk about it." I answer.

"I'll be there in five okay?" She asked. "Okay." I reply, hanging the phone up. I need to find Eddie. Robin's car pulls up and I get in. "Steve, what happened?" She asked. I ignore her question. "Can you just wait here for a second please?" I ask, while she parks in my driveway.

She looks at me with a worried look and nods. I run inside to see my dad and my mom sitting at the table. "Hey Steven-" I walk past both of them to the phone. I dial Dustin's number.

"Henderson. Is Eddie there?" I ask. "No. Why?" I hang the phone up without answering and pick up Lady. I sit down and pet her. "Steven, can we talk?" My dad asks. "No." I reply, looking down at Lady. She rubs against my hand. He might be at his uncle's trailer. I put Lady down and walk back to the phone. "Hello?" Wayne asks.

"H-hi. Is Eddie there?" I ask, stuttering. "Oh, Steve. Yeah he's here. He hasn't been out of his room since last night. I'm real worried about him. Are you coming over?" Wayne asks. "Yes sir." I reply, before hanging up the phone.

I kiss Lady and Ozzy goodbye before walking outside. I get in Robin's car. "Can you drop me off at the trailer park?" I ask. "Yeah. I hate to intrude, but what happened?" Robin asked. I spilled everything.

It just poured out of me. Tears started to fall from my eyes. "Steve. I'm sure he didn't mean it." Robin assures me. "I don't know Robin, he didn't seem like he was joking. I just need to talk to him." I reply while she parks. "Good luck." She says.

"Thanks." I respond, walking up to Eddie's trailer. I knock on the door. Wayne opens it. "Hey Steve. He's right back here." He says, letting me me in and pointing towards a shut door. I nod and walk to the door. I knock.

Eddie ~
My uncle knocks on the door. "Wayne, please just leave me alone." I say, lying on my tear stained pillow. I hear another knock. "PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" I yell, throwing the pillow at the door. Another knock. I open it and, see Steve standing there. I slam the door in his face. "Eddie please." Steve says, sounding sincere.

I hear someone stomping and then banging on my door. "OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR MUNSON." Robin yells. I wipe my tears from my face and open the door. "Go Steve." She says, pushing Steve into my room. She walks away. I shut the door and walk back over to my bed. I lie back down.

"Can we talk?" Steve asks. "I don't imagine we have anything to talk about." I reply, staring at the ceiling. "We do. I didn't know that you felt that way. I really didn't. I am so sorry." Steve responds, grabbing my hand.

I slap it away. "You think an apology is gonna fix this? After everything you said to me? It's gonna take a lot more than that." I reply, turning my head towards the wall. "Eddie please." Steve said, sitting on my bed.

"Just go. There's no point in you being here, if you're just going to apologize." I respond, turning to look at him. His eyes were bloodshot. His lip was quivering. I want to hug him so bad. But I can't. I can't think it's okay to treat me like that. He nodded and walked out. He looked like he had an idea, but he was also upset. I shut my door back and start crying again.

I put my walkman back on and, watch as Robin's car drives away. My eyes were heavy. I fall asleep. I wake up to a song playing outside. I rub my eyes and throw my walkman on my bed, before stretching and looking out of the window.

I see Steve. He's holding a boombox in the rain. And singing a song? I can't help but smile. He saw me. His eyes were even more red than earlier.

I walk outside and look at him. He paused the song and looks at me. I run up to him. "Really, Harrington?" I ask, smiling. "Do I need to keep singing?" He asks. "No, no please, for the sake of my ears." I reply, playfully.

"I am so sorry Eddie. For everything. I never, ever, meant to hurt you. I am so stupid some-" I interupted him with a kiss. He hugged me. "You're hair is wet. Like soaked. How long have you been standing out here?" I ask, bringing him into the van.

"About an hour. I had to walk here, and it started to rain." He answers. "I was scared that I would have to raise Lady and Ozzy on my own! Terrified." Steve added, laughing. I start laughing too. "They obviously need their dad." I say.

"I'm their dad too!" Steve exclaims. "No you're not, love." I say, kissing his cheek. "WHY DOES EVERYONE CALL ME A MOM?" Steve asks, smiling. "You're a good one." I respond, laughing.

"So, are we good?" Steve asked. "If you want to be. Personally, Stevie, I'm good." I reply, staring at the cloudy sky then back at Steve. "I'm good too." Steve responds, resting his head on my shoulder. "Can we stay here? We can go get Lady and Ozzy tomorrow. It's just-" "I know. Yes, we can stay here." I assure him.

We run inside and start laughing. We walk to my bedroom and lay on the bed. "I don't like fighting. It's really tiring." I say, looking over at Steve. "Me either. Like we fight for the most stupid reasons." Steve replies, staring at my posters on the wall.

"My dad tried to talk to me again. I told him off." Steve explains, looking back at me. "Dad's are the worst huh?" I ask. "Yeah. We have pretty bad luck with dad's." Steve replies, laughing a little. "Yeah, we do." I reply, smiling.
