"Oh, Kai." Kai looked over to Tyler, as she was packing up for her next class.

"I was wondering if you could help me make the test for this class today." He tilted his head kindly, showing his sweet smile that pulled on her heart.

Kai tried to shove a notebook into her bag that wasn't cooperating.

Her eye involuntarily twitched only slightly.

"Oh yeah. Of course." Kai smiled taking her eye off the notebook.

She slightly cursed herself for not saying no. Kai knew that she had an English assignment due in two days, the second Friday of the school year. But she couldn't say no to that sweet smile.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." He smiled.

And that's how Kai, was now standing in front of the door of her first block, staring at it. It was fine, 40 minutes to be with Tyler alone after ignoring him for the past two days from the incident in the office. Decided that Wednesdays were not her day

Kai had this in the bag.

She walked into the classroom, not looking at him, her focus on her phone. "Hey." She glanced up at the table across the room in front of her.

"Hi." She waved lightly with her free hand.

She got to the table and slid past him, sitting in her normal chair.

"Mr.Lee." The two looked up to see a female teacher. Kai knew it was one of the teachers who was talking in the office before. She glared slightly at Kai.

Kai flinched noticeably, looking down as she went through her notebook.

"The teachers are hanging out for lunch today, I came to invite you." She smiled, pushing her hair back and walking toward him.

Kai didn't look up, doodling something. She didn't want to deal with some teacher who wants to get laid by Tyler.

It was quite pathetic, the number of female teacher applicants when Tyler was seen on the Facebook page. It went around for a bit, he was known as the 'hot' teacher. So, the two teachers per year applicants turned to 30 or more per year.

"Sorry, but I have to make a test for the kids in Physics. I and Kai are working on it. Maybe next time, but thanks for asking." Tyler politely declined.

The teacher, Ms.Wilson focused her eyes on the girl who lowered her head more. "I don't mind doing it alone." Tyler looked over, seeing her writing something. "You should get together with your fellow colleagues and get away from work once in a while."

Tyler stared at her, she didn't move to look at him. "See, she can do it alone," Wilson smirked.

"Okay..." He took his pen and scribbled something on it, sticking it next to her elbow. "Call or text me if you need anything."

Kai only nodded slightly and he walked out with the woman. Kai felt her vision blur from the tears wailing up in her eyes.

"I'm so dumb." She muttered.

'I shouldn't feel this way, I should just graduate and leave, never see him again.' Her tears fell on the paper, dropping the pen in her hand she took a deep inhale.

"But I love him, I love him so much." She balled up her fist, hitting her head.

"I hate myself." She cried.

Tyler sat down with the teachers. Everyone talking with one another, he watched them, taking a bottle of water from the table. He's never been invited to the teacher hangouts.

All the teachers didn't know how to communicate with him. Tyler didn't blame them, he was young enough to be their kid for everyone in there.

"So Tyler," A male called up, snickering.

Eric Rymu.

Known for bad things in the school. Rumor has it he sexually harassed a kid in school and she moved away. Forty years old, not the best to look, but okay enough to be his age. He's also Tyler's ex-friend, after a fallout years ago.

Some teachers glanced at Eric, smirking. Tyler took a sip of his water.

"Some rumors are going around, that you're hooking up with your assistant girl." The room went silent. Tyler set his bottle down swallowing the amount in his mouth.

"Kai?"

"Yeah, the silent student." Eric snickered.

"Eric, that's not appropriate." Mr. Liken glared, at the history teacher.

"Yeah, that's crossing the line." Some teachers said.

"I don't know, I'm worried. A lot of students are spreading rumors about it." Some female teachers snickered.

Tyler stared at them, wondering if this was the reason Kai was being distant from him for the last few days.

Was she uncomfortable being near him now? Was the chance of dating her gone?

Just having her in his grasp, and now she was pulling away.

Tyler sighed. "We talk for school, she's an assistant."

"I think you're forgetting where my position is at Mr. Rymu. I may be a teacher, but I'm still above you." Tyler glared at the man in front of him. The teachers who hated him scoffed, trying to be silent.

His phone buzzed, he looked at it and the number immediately hung up. Tyler got up, pushing his chair back into the table. "If I'd asked you if you had a relationship with a student of yours, you would be offended. So take into account what you asking, Mr.Rymu."

He walked to the door, turning around. "Also, I don't need to abide by your rules, as Kai is an assistant. I don't work for the school, I work for my father. So if I do want to have a relationship with Kai, I'll have a relationship with her."

He walked out of the room, walking down the halls passed the students to his classroom.

He needed to get there, to see if Kai was alright. She did call him after all.

"Stupid, stupid stupid." He heard Kai's voice. It was broken, jagged. Tyler took a step into the room, seeing her wiping her eyes as she kept typing. Taking a deep breath—a sob fell out. She tried to compress it, but it didn't work.

"Kai." He called out, she looked up. Tyler smiled, shutting the door and locking it. "Hey." He walked up to her.

"What are you doing here? You should be with that girl." Kai sobbed out, hiding her teary eyes away from him.

"Hum? That teacher. I don't even know her name." Tyler chuckled, crouching down to her.

"So, want to talk about it?" He asked, reaching his hand up. His warm fingers brushed against her cheek, pushing the hair strands out of her face to be tucked away behind her ear.

Kai felt her heart bounce around, seeing his blue eyes once more.
