Kai's hand rested on Tyler's chest both breathing heavily. Their nice outfits were soaked on the ground, their bodies now dampened. Having fun in the showers, lead to the bed. And to the hallway for a bit.

They stayed in silence, fine with it. It was peaceful.

Kai felt her headache come back, as she groaned softly, snuggling up to Tyler more.

"You okay?" Tyler asked, looking away from his phone.

Kai nodded. "I've been having more headaches than usual," Kai muttered.

"Want some medicine?" Kai scrunched up her face, rolling away to put her head in. The pillow.

She shook her head aggressively, moving her arms to support her head also, as it looked over toward him. Tyler does on his side to look at her. "Medicine makes me sick," Kai stated, pouting her lips.

Tyler nodded, leaning toward her to peck her lips for a second. He pulled her closer, arm around her.

"Mkay." He muttered, shutting his eyes, Kai smiled, wiggling toward him. He chuckled, feeling her weird movement to get closer to him.

Shutting her eyes, she parted her lips, quickly falling asleep nearly seconds apart.

...

"Ya know, you should be a chef," Kai stated. Her legs dangling down on the light stool. Taking another bite of the pancakes he had served her.

Tyler snickered. "I appreciate the compliment." He stated, walking toward her, resting the plate next to her, and jumping on the stool next to her too.

They ate delicious food. Kai didn't know why he was better than any she ate.

"I might start getting addicted to what you cook young sir." Kai pouted, going on to the next one.

He chuckled, pushing his messy brown hair away from his face, which curled all over the place. She did the same with her hair, but it was straight more from all the moving she did. And it's naturally straight.

"I love Saturday." She slightly bumped his shoulder. Her actions were telling Tyler that she wanted some sort of physical attention, even if it was that.

A smile flew up on his face, getting the message as his hand closest went to lay on her thigh, but a knock on the door stopped his movement.

A rough groan escaped his lips. Getting down from the chair Tyler walked to the door.

Opening it, it was Aponi. Looking awkwardly at him. "Hey, is Kai here." Her head peaked out from the kitchen, smiling when she saw who it was. Their eyes met as she pranced at them.

"What's up?" Kai questioned.

Aponi cleared his throat. "We have work in an hour." He informed, and her face dropped.

"What I thought our day off was today." He shook his head in disappointment. Kai turned to Tyler who frowned at the newest information.

He looked over at her, smiling. "It's fine, see you when you get off?" He questioned, hoping to see her.

"Her mom wants to go out today." He added the two loved couple sulked a bit. Kai turned to face Tyler.

"Well, maybe tomorrow." She smiled, taking his hand.

"Yeah." He smiled also, as she left.

Kai changed her clothes when she got home and pulled her hair in ponytails it slid through the hole in the hat. "Be safe," Tina shouted as the two left.

"Shit, we're going to be late," Aponi muttered under his breath.

Kai raised her brow, getting in the driver's seat. "I forgot, you haven't driven with me." Kai snickered.

When the doors shut, Kai pulled out of the driveway and left to go to their job.

They arrived in time, seeing they didn't have many people there as they normally do. "You're never driving again," Aponi muttered, getting like he never has touched the ground before.

Kai chuckled, getting out with him to go into the building. They checked in and started.

"So Kai, I heard you have a boyfriend." Kai turned to look at Raya a manager. Usually always being on the same hours as her and Aponi.

"Well, we aren't dating yet." She chuckled, putting a medium fry on the holder in front of her.

The woman chuckled at her, seeing her smile. "You shouldn't wait always. I and Ivan almost split up because of it." Raya wisely spoke. "Have you guys discussed what you want in the future, if your on that path right now?"

Kai flinched thinking about it.

Raya excused herself as she felt a kick from the baby within her, making her go to the back room.

The girl stood there, alone. Aponi started at her as he jumped on to pack for the window. Seeing her distressed look, he was going to ask her what was wrong.

The break came for the two and they didn't hesitate for it. Their feet were killing them, luckily it was a shorter shift than usual, being seven hours then nine or ten.

They got their food, and drink, and sat down together. "You okay?" Aponi asked, seeing she was still out of it.

Kai looked up, giving a forced laugh, and looked down at her meal she didn't want to eat. "Yeah, just, Raya's question got me wondering. Are me and Tyler, going to be something?" She chuckled, feeling herself get emotional.

If she could talk to herself last year or even last month, she would have something to say. If her younger self had to choose, she'd chose not to be in a relationship.

It was hard already, having her last girlfriend rely too much on her, it hurt. It was always an eighty-twenty relationship for them. Or even lower. It was painful to be the one to be looked at and said to buy something. Even be barbarian on how Kai declined to do something like that.

She wasn't some girl you could tell to buy something and forced to do. She hated getting ignored when serious subjects get on topic. It seemed to be easier to be single than deal with someone else's issues when they forced you to do that.

"Do you like him?" Kai flinched, hearing the question.

"I love him," Kai whispered.

Aponi smiled, sticking his hashbrown in his mouth. "Then you got your answer."

Kai had to agree on that. Though she had feelings for Alice, it wasn't as strong as she had for Tyler now.

The reason before was to not get in a relationship if she was a pillar to just move around. A 'relationship' where you were taken for granted, one where you were ignored.

But with Tyler, it was nothing like that. It was actually like two people. with one another. With actual love and care. If a topic came up they'd talk about it. If they were uncomfortable they would say it and not get upset and ignore the other for the day.

Not be treated as a dog who would go fetch something if they wanted it.

Be treated like a human being you wanted to say with for the rest of your life.

Kai knew her answer now, looking back on her past relationships. They all were bad. They all sucked, everyone treated her badly and didn't love her.

Tyler treated her right and showed her he loved her. Showed her he cared for her.

He wouldn't push Kai to do something she was uncomfortable with.

Kai wanted to be with Tyler. But now, the true obstacles came to her mind.

Would she even have the courage to ask him out?
