Phoenix POV:
The following day, after I got up and got ready for school I walked towards my dad's office. I wanted to ask him if instead of going to regular school like the werewolves and other supernatural creatures that surround or territory if I could enroll in the Alpha Academy.
I heaved a heavy sigh and knocked on his office door. At first I didn't want to because I smelt my father and grandfather in my dad's office but instead of walking away I decided I needed to ask before I completely chicken out.
I knocked on my dad's office door and waited for him or my father to invite me inside. After getting the 'come in' I walked into my dad's office and sat in the office chair directly in front of his desk.
Before I got a chance to speak, my grandfather told both my parents that he would talk to them later and left the office closing the door behind him.
I sighed happily, silently thanking the Moon Goddess that I didn't have to talk to my parents in front of him. Not that I have anything to hide, well mostly anything to hide. I heard my father asking me what i needed clearing his throat as he did.
"Um, well I wanted to know if I could go to the Alpha Academy instead of regular school"? I blurted out nervously.
'Why do you want to go there son'? I heard my father ask me. I stared at my dad wondering if he understood why I wanted to go. I watched my dad give me a quick nod, telling me to explain to my father why I wanted to go.
"Dad already knows, but I'm not ready to tell you yet both of the reasons I want to go". I told him taking a deep breath I explained to him the first reason why. "I want to go to Alpha Academy, because dad has taught me everything there is to learn about a pack except how to properly run a pack as Alpha". "I want to learn so that one day I can either make my own pack or run this one". I explained to him taking another deep breath.
I heard both my father and dad sigh. My dad already knew I wanted to create my own pack or run this pack one day, but I never told my father. As the last born I'm not expected to do anything except just live here and enjoy my life.
Unfortunately I'm not one that can just sit around and not do something. That's why ever since I was a young pup I helped my dad in the office, learning everything I could about the pack.
"I already told dad about this when I was younger, and up until I knew for sure who my mate was, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to the Alpha Academy to learn how to be a strong, trustworthy and good Alpha". I explained to my father.
'Is it because of your mate, why you want to leave for Alpha training'? My father asked. I nodded my head. I heard my father growl, but not as fierce as the one he let out yesterday in my bedroom. Most likely because my dad has his arms wrapped my father helping to keep him calm.
'You shouldn't have to leave your pack'. My father gritted out angrily. I nodded my head agreeing with him. Yes I shouldn't have to leave my pack, but unfortunately Alpha Academy is ran by the Royals and in any Alpha's territory.
"I'm not just doing it to avoid more heart ache father". "I'm doing it because I have always wanted to be an Alpha of a pack". "You know how this works, it's always the first born who gets the Alpha". "Me being the last born, I literally have to wait till my siblings decides whether or not to take the title before I become Alpha". "I told dad when I was younger my yearning to become someone important, not just your son". "The last born son of an Alpha and Luna". I explained to him as calmly as possible.
My desire to become someone important has always been in me every since I was a young pup, and the Elders would teach us, me the importance of an Heir, but only the first born Heir. Male or female in my father's pack didn't matter.
I sighed as I stared at my father waiting for him to say something, anything but he didn't he just sighed heavily and shrugged his shoulders.
'That's not how this pack works'. My father said. I watched as my dad nodded his head agreeing with him.
"I know, but we know that's how it does work in other pack's, and I am not willing to fight one of my siblings just to become Alpha". "That's why I want to attend the Alpha Academy". I explained.
'If it is truly what you want I will contact the Royal council and get you enrolled'. My father said walking out of my dad's office.
'Now that your father has left the office, you want to tell me exactly why all of a sudden you chose to go to the Alpha Academy this year'? My dad asked me. I nodded my head yes.
"I just can't stay here and deal with the pain Nezm is putting me through". "True right now mom has blocked the mate bond, but only because I promised her I would talk to him". "I truly need time to find myself before I can talk to him". I explained to him.
'I understand son'. My dad said, wrapping me in his arms. 'Go pack because if I know your father he will have you enrolled in the Alpha Academy before dinner tonight'. My dad said. I nodded my head agreeing with him.
My father never waited around to get things done. I think I'm like him in that way.
'Oh, and you will make an excellent Alpha one day'. My dad said patting my back, releasing me from his hug.
"Thank you dad". I told him, walking out of his office closing the door behind me.
I quickly ran to my room and started packing my clothes and laptop. As soon as I finished packing my father knocked on my door before walking into my room. Just as my dad said, my father had me enrolled in the Alpha Academy already.
'You need to report at the Academy by two in the afternoon tomorrow'. My father said. 'Now come and have dinner with your family'. I nodded my head and smiled up at him.
"Thank you father". I told him, hugging him and walked out my room after him.
We walked towards the dining room where my dad, my siblings, my great grand parents, my grandmother Sami, both Uncle Jackson and Uncle Egon, Beast (Nezm's brother) and Nezm sat waiting for my father and I to show up.
'Everyone thank you for being here tonight and sharing this dinner with us'. 'Phoenix had something he would like to tell you all'. My father said sitting down next to my dad. I remained standing and took a deep breath before telling my family and mate I was leaving.
"Tomorrow I will be heading to the Alpha Academy". I simply said and sat down next to Uncle Jackson.
