Roswell's POV:

Dinner seemed to drag on, what felt like an eternity.

I prayed to the Moon Goddess that it would just hurry up and end, but the Academy guests had others plans.

Often throughout the meal I could feel Phoenix stiffen and distracted mostly when Nezm and Maxwell spoke. (not to each other, just in general)

'Are you okay'? I asked him several times and instead of telling me if he was or not Phoenix would just squeeze my hand.

'Mate is still upset'. Midnight my wolf would reply whenever Phoenix wouldn't talk. I just sighed silently agreeing with my wolf.

"I am finished may I be excused"? Phoenix asked the table.

'Yes'. My parents and Phoenix parents replied back in unison. I sighed and stood up next to him. I linked my mother and asked if I could also be excused. Yes was her reply and I walked away from the table in search of my very tense mate. While I was linking my mother I hadn't noticed that he had already left.

'Go to mate'. Midnight said. I nodded my head yes.

'That's what I am doing'. I told him as I walked through the Academy in search of my mate. I could feel him but I couldn't pin point where he was. I sighed frustratingly and continued walking in the direction toward our rooms.

After checking my room and then Phoenix without finding him I began walking out the Academy towards the forest area.

'Phoenix where are you'? I finally decided to link him and ask where he was. Why I hadn't thought of that thirty minutes ago or so I have no idea.

'Stupid human'. Midnight said shaking his head at me. I shook my head as a response.

"I'm running". I heard Phoenix link me back.

'I'll wait for you by the forest opening'. I linked him back and walked towards the forest opening and waited for him.

'We should run with mate'. Midnight said. I agreed with him but chose not to allow Midnight to shift and chase after our mate. I have a feeling Phoenix needs this time to his self.

I sighed and waited patiently for Phoenix to finish his run. Through our link I could feel how happy Cypress was, being able to run alone.

"Roswell can you get me a pair of shorts"? "I didn't strip before shifting". Phoenix asked me.

'Yes'. I replied and heading back inside of the Academy to grab him a pair of shorts.

'I want to see mate'. Midnight said.

'I do too, but he needs clothes'. I explained to him.

I have wanted to see Phoenix wolf ever since he arrived and I discovered he was my mate, but he never runs with the Academy class or even after classes he has always ran by his self. I had asked both my parents to explain to me how he is able to get out of running with the class and they just tell me it's complicated and when the time is right Phoenix will show me. I tried to push for more information but my parents are stubborn and refuse to budge.

'Mate is really special'. Midnight would say every time I tried to get my parents to explain to me.

"I'll wait right by the forest entrance". Phoenix said bringing me out of my thoughts. I heard Midnight whimper in my head. I too felt like whimpering, knowing I'll miss Phoenix wolf.

'It's not time for you to see my son's wolf, but soon very, very soon'. I heard Luna Larry say as he passed me in the hallway, handing me a pair of Phoenix shorts.

I smiled, thanked him and walked back out of the Academy towards the forest opening. Once I spotted Phoenix, my breath hitched in my throat and my c*ck jumped happily at the beautiful naked sight in front of me.

'Sh*t'. I gritted out quietly trying not to let Phoenix hear me, or smell my arousal.

'I want mate'. Midnight said, sending me images of Phoenix and I in very explicit positions.

'Stop that'. 'Mate is still young'. I whispered to him.

Yea we are wolves and once we find our mate it is hard for us to control our desire to mate with our mate, but Phoenix is a couple years younger than me and I don't want him to think that just because we are mate's he has to let me f**k him. I sighed handing him his shorts and tried to will my c*ck to deflate.

"Are you okay"? Phoenix asked with a little hint of amusement in his voice. I chuckled at him and told him I was fine.

"Remember I can hear your thoughts". "Even though I try not to sometimes I just hear them". "And so I'll ask you again". "Are you okay"? Phoenix explained then asked me again. I nodded my head yes, because truly I am okay. I'm extremely horny and trying to give my young mate time and the comfortability with me before I act on any of my sexual desires.

'I'm fine, really'. 'I know we haven't discussed us mating yet, and believe me there is no pressure'. 'I'm just extremely horny being around you without being able to have you spread out before me, as I give you all of myself to you'. I told him as calmly as I could. Unfortunately my voice broke at the end when Phoenix wrapped his arms around me and kissed me desperately deep and hard.

'F**K'. I gritted out through my teeth. Being near my mate half naked and semi-erect is getting harder and harder for me to control not only myself but my wolf too.

I sighed heavily sedated and happy once we pulled our lips apart to catch our breaths.

"I want you to, but I need time". Phoenix said softly. I nodded my head already knowing that he needed time.

'No rush'. I told him squeezing him tightly as we walked back into the Academy and wished our parents and the other guests good night.

'Moon Goddess please give me strength and patience'. I whispered a prayer to her as Phoenix and I climbed into his bed.
