Phoenix POV:

The following few days were a blur. The only thing I do remember is avoiding Roswell as much as I possible could.

Unfortunately he is in most of my pack history classes and also is maybe four or five rooms away from my room. So if course we ran into each other often.

The first day I was here and Cypress yelled mate, I have linked both my dad and father to help me understand why my wolf would claim another wolf as his mate.

Both my father and dad gave me two different reasons.

My father said it might be because I had blocked the mate pull to avoid feeling any pain.

My dad said some wolves are blessed with more than one mate, especially if they are a hybrid.

Neither one of those answers helped me try to understand why I would have two mate's. One that doesn't seem to care about us being mate's and one, from what I have been told has been waiting for his mate for three years now.

Believe it or not I was happy hearing that one of my mate's was willing to save his self for his mate. But it's still so confusing to me.

Thank the Moon Goddess I was able to read a little about mate's and also learn more about them in school.

The most fascinating thing about mate's are their need to be with their mate once they find them and how protective a mate is.

I sighed heavily still not understanding why the Moon Goddess gave me two mate's.

'Phoenix are you okay'? I heard a soft voice behind me ask. I nodded my head turning around to find the werewolf Queen standing in front of me.

"Oh, I'm sorry, am I blocking your way"? I apologized, asked her. She shook her head no.

'Actually I was looking for you'. She said. My eye brows furrowed confusingly. Why would the werewolf Queen be looking for me? I asked myself.

'I know about your mate back at your pack'. She said. I gasped. I didn't want anyone to know I had a mate back home until I was ready.

'Do not worry sweetheart'. 'I know your parents very well, including your mother Phoenix'. The Queen said softly, smiling afterwards.

"How"? I asked.

'It is a long story'. 'One for another day'. 'But right now I wanted to talk to you about your two mate's'. She said. I nodded and waited for to talk.

'You see, most wolves only have one mate'. 'If their mate passes away, on rare occasions the Moon Goddess will bless them with a second chance mate'. 'You however are a rare wolf whom is already blessed with two mate's'. 'My son has patiently waiting for three years for his mate, that is why he does not chance after you'. 'He is waiting for you to except him as your mate'. 'Unfortunately he was in my office when your father called and explained to me about your mate back at the packhouse'. 'I want you to know that it is not rare to have two mate's at the same time'. 'It just hasn't happened in the last century'. 'My advice to you is talk to the Moon Goddess and ask her your question'. 'But remember she does not make mistakes'. Queen Isabel explained. I smiled and hugged her, thanking her for her talk.

I took her advice and after my combat training. I ate, showered and then prayed to the Moon Goddess asking her my questions.

"Why me"?

"Am I worthy of two mate's"?

"How come it's the mate's who suffer from their mate's affairs and not the one having the affair"?

"How special exactly is my parents"? I had to ask the last one. After pack history class, I learned about the SnowHeart Pack. To my surprise it was my dad's pack till he was about four or five. That's when he shifted and disappeared when his pack was attacked. Unfortunately though the books are not updated and only state's that Larry SnowHeart the only Heir has disappeared with no trace. I wanted to ask the Elder how come the books are not updated, but stopped when I remember what the werewolf king said about my parents.

After class I couldn't get the fact that my dad is a legendary white male-wolf. According to the SnowHeart Pack history books that is. I never knew my dad is a legendary white male-wolf, something that according to the Elder is so rare that they believe that is why the SnowHeart Pack was attacked.

'Are you going to continue to pretend you do not know I am in your room pup'. I heard a smooth motherly voice say bringing me out of my thoughts. She chuckled. 'Just like your dad, he always got pulled into his thoughts too'. She said smiling at me. I smiled back chuckling.

"I always thought I was more like my father than my dad". I told her happily.

'I think you are a little bit of all your parents Phoenix'. She said calmly, sitting on my bed.

'I have heard your prayers and your questions'. 'And beings none of your parents are allowed to visit for the first month, while you are here'. 'I figured I would answer what I can'. She explained I nodded my head and asked her my questions.

"Why is it that the mate being cheated on is the one that feels the pain, when they are not doing anything against the mate bond"? I asked her.

'That I cannot explain'. 'But I can tell you, the pain goes both ways'. She said.

"Yea I figured that, but I would never cheat on my mate, just so he can feel the same pain". I told her.

"Why did you give me two mate's"? I asked her my second question.

'You are a very rare wolf Phoenix'. 'Just as rare if not even more rare than your dad's. 'You need strong mate's to help you navigate through your journey'. She explained. I nodded kinda understanding what she means.

"Well I guess that means, you assumed I am worthy of two mate's then"? I asked, she nodded her head yes.

'Give Roswell a chance'. 'He will show you how a true mate is supposed to treat their mate's'. 'But don't give up on Nezm, he may surprise you'. She said disappearing before I can ask her any more questions.

I sighed, got off my bed and headed out my room in search of my mate. I need to apologize to him and possibly even explain to him why I was avoiding him.
