Pumpkins! - Eric Halloween

(A/N) The first Halloween special is here! Yay!

Pairing: Eric x Reader

It was finally October! The month everyone in Dauntless had been waiting for. It may not be special for the other factions, but we loved this month. It as the month of scary pranks, Halloween decorations and parties with a lot of alcohol!

"We are leaving in three!" Eric's voice could be heard in the garage while he walked towards one vehicle. I followed him in a light jog to keep up with his fast pace. "Where are we going?" He threw his machine gun into the back of the car, before he grabbed mine and did the same. "Amity." I nodded and got into the passenger seat, while he walked around the car and got into the drivers seat. We waited a few seconds, for the others to get ready. Eric checked his mails and I played a game on my tablet. "You need to get more serious." His voice was quiet, barely loud enough for me to hear. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question. "Get more serious. You're a Dauntless soldier." I shrugged and turned back to my game. "So what?" Eric just sighed and turned back to his mails. "Forget it." I rolled my eyes, before I closed the app and put my tablet away. Sulking, I looked out of the window and watched the others get ready. I heard Eric sigh again, but he didn't say anything.

Soon, the others let us know that they were ready and Eric put his tablet away. "Ready?" I just nodded and he stepped on the gas. We were the first in a long line of Dauntless vehicles.

Arriving in Amity, we were greeted by Johanna. "Welcome. I'm -." "Where are they?" Eric interrupted her and I rolled my eyes. "Hey Johanna. Nice to see you again." She smiled at me. "Hello, Y/N." This time, Eric rolled his eyes. "We don't have forever." Johanna kept smiling, but it was starting to get strained. "In the shed." Eric nodded and told the others their jobs. Two were told to get some of the food delivery from Amity for Dauntless. The others, six people, were told to stay outside and guard every possible exit. Eric and I entered the shed.

We walked around, guns raised and eyes sharp. After some time, we were almost giving up, when we heard rustling behind a stack of hay. Eric trained his gun and nodded towards me. Slowly, I walked towards it, before I quickly turned the corner. There she was. A little girl, cowering in fear. She wore a red and yellow dress and had her brown hair braided. I lowered the gun and looked at her. "Sue?" She raised her head and jumped onto her feet. "Y/N!" I let the gun fall to the floor and opened my arms, in which she immediately jumped. I pulled her against me and stroked her hair. "What happened?" I carefully pushed her to arms length and looked at her. "The boys. They scared me and locked me in here." I hugged her again. "Idiots." In the mean time, Eric had walked up to us. "Who is that?" I looked up. "Eric, that's my little sister, Sue." She peered up at him. "You look scary." I laughed at her and Eric murmured something. "But I'm not scary." He quickly reached down and pulled her from my embrace. She shrieked but also giggled when he raised her above his head. "I swear I really am not." She stretched her arms and legs from her and continued giggling. "He is very scary." I tickled her stomach and she started laughing like crazy. Eric let his arms sink and put her on his hips. "I am not! You're lying!" Sue's hands grabbed his jacket and she giggled. Our little banter continued until some boys walked in, laughing. "Awww, she was saved." I glared at the boys and was about to go at them, but Eric held my back. "Hold her." He gave me Sue and walked up to the boys, that were still laughing. "Are you the one that scared that girl?" As soon as they heard Eric's ice cold voice, they stopped laughing and stared up at him. "N-No." They took a few steps back, but Eric raised his hand and they stopped. "If you ever, get near that girl again, I will personally kill you. And don't even think of coming to Dauntless." They nodded, obviously scared and ran away.
