Imagine: Being a Loyal Dauntless during the war and when you're confronted by Eric, he lets you escape.

      The war was in full force, and of course, you were on the side of the Loyal Dauntless. You were currently, sneaking through the halls of Candor Headquarters. The Dauntless traitors had attacked, looking for the 100% Divergent, and the rest of you were not going down without a fight.

Just as you turned the corner, you bumped straight into Eric. Your eyes went wide, "Shit."

You instantly pointed your gun at him and he did the same, "Y/N," He chides.

"Eric," You respond, mirroring his tone and not taking your eyes off him, "What's wrong? Not going to shoot me?"

"Who says I won't?" He glares. You stand in silence for a moment, continuing to hold your guns at each other. Eric finally sighs, looks around, and lowers his, "Go."

His words take you by surprise, "What?"

"Go Y/N, I'm not going to kill you."

You know that this is your chance, you should probably leave, but you can't wrap your head around why he wants to help you, "Er-"

"Go." He orders this time, "I will not say it again, go or I'll shoot."

You take one more look at him before running off.

Eric's POV

I watch as Y/N lowers her gun and runs off, I should have just killed her when I had the chance, but I couldn't. I have had feelings for Y/N for almost a year now, but of course, I could never tell her that.

I'll tell her when this is all over.
