Winter had arrived at Chicago, which meant that Initiation was stopped for a while to decorate the Factions for Christmas.

As a Leader, you didn't have to get involved in the decorations of the faction, but you were always up for it mainly for two reasons : 1)No paperwork if I am decorating and 2) It's Christmas guys!

As you were carrying some boxes to the tree, some of the initiates left theirs to the floor and stared in awe to the sky.

Turning your head, you saw little droplets of snow coronating every building's top, changing the scenery.

Smiling to yourself, you spun around and continued your task.

"Ah (Y/N)" Max's voice broke you from your trance "I need you to go hang something with Eric"

You puffed "Is there no one else that could go instead?"

The Initiates were terrified or hated Eric , but nobody could blame them, he made Initiation a living hell : hanging people from the Chasm, making them fight until they are dead...And you could continue but you were afraid of running out of paper to write it.

"The other that can is Four...Do I have to say more?" He smirked "Fine...I'll go...I don't want any murders" You smirked back as you got down the escalator "Great, good luck (Y/N)"

Getting a good coat and a hat, you made your way upstairs to the top of the building.

As you opened the door, a strong wind hit your face, your cheeks and nose turning red. Turning your head, you saw Eric opening the boxes.

"So...They sent you at the end? Well, guess I won't have so many fun as with Four" He flashed one of his dashing smiles , but it hid evil within.

"C'mon Eric, abandon your evil means for a while will you?" You walked over to him "And aren't you cold?

He was wearing just a thin jacket, while you looked like a Christmas ball with all those layers of clothes.

"Nah...Too hot for that" He just smirked while you sighed.

Narcissistic much?

As you were hanging the last lights, your eyes flicked to the amount of snow that had been accumulated and a daunting, yet stupid, but nevertheless daunting struck your head.

"Hey Eric"

As he spun around, a snow ball made contact with his face.

"The heck (Y/N)!" He screamed, cleaning his hair for any remaining snow.

"Didn't you say that the snow didn't affect you as you were so hot?" You chuckled while crossing your arms.

"I am, but I'm not so sure about you princess"

You arched your brow in confusion, but all the color was drained from your face as you saw him preparing the biggest snowball you had ever seen.

"Eric...Don't you dare..."

"Oh...Yes I dare..."

As he threw it to you, you ducked down and missed it, not without screaming a serie of incoherent words.

"Now you've made me angry, I'm not gonna go easy on you" You collected more snow and started a snow fight with Eric.

Although the space was little, you managed to turn this simple fight into a war, building forts and making strange moves to miss the impact of snow.

As the fight progressed, a side of him that you had never seen before shone up. He became a child, laughing innocently as he launched snowballs at you. It was even kind of cute.

Puffing and panting, you both sat on the roof and lighted up the lights "It was fun...It was the funniest thing I've done for a while" Eric smiled at you.

You smiled back, enjoying this moment "How come you are never like that with other people?" Breaking the silence, you stared at the sky, which was already pitch black "If I'm not tough, how am I supposed to be an authority? Also, I've got a reputation to keep"

You nodded to that.

"I thought like the others, that you had no heart inside. Guess I'm wrong" You punched lightly his arm.

"Of course you were..." He smiled, trying to hide a hint of blush "And to make it clear I won"

"Sure...In your dreams"

Getting up from the roof, you made your way downstairs, meeting with Max.

"You had some fun huh?" He hummed contently.

"I don't know what you are talking about" You both said nonchalantly "Shut up!" You screamed in unison.

"Whatever you say love birds" He shrugged and walked away from you.

'Perhaps there was something more than what meets the eye with this guy' Smiling to yourself, you marched to the Christmas tree and sat down with the others, enjoying the view.

~2 days later~

Your room's phone rang loudly, waking you up from your deep slumber "What now?" You opened the light and answered.

"(Y/N) here"

"Hey..." Eric's faint voice woke you up completely. But there was something off with it.

"Don't tell me you've caught a cold?" You tried to stifle your laughter.

"C'mon, shut up. Could you cover me for today?" His voice seemed sore and was far from intimidating

"No problem Eric, I'm sure the Initiates will be happy" You replied chuckling.

"(Y/N)..."He warned you in a dangerous tone.

"Look, you and I both know I would win the discussion today..."

"Whatever"

"Rest Eric, and take care of yourself. As soon as training has ended I'll pass by. Do you need something?" Your tone changed from sarcastic to worried

"I don't think so...And thank you"

"You're welcome"

Hanging up, Eric didn't know if he had fever or he was just blushing, but suddenly he was eager for you to finish the trainings and come back to him.

Nobody had been this worried about him in a while...'Perhaps there was something more than what meets the eye with this girl' He just chuckled and snuggled in his bed, falling into a deep sleep where your smile was the only thing that kept the dreams from being nightmares.
