Song Prompt: "The Runway" by The Word Alive

Imagine: Assuring Eric that you'll always be there for him, through thick and thin, no matter what anyone else may think.

*************************************

Ever since the attack on Abnegation, ever since Eric was forgiven for his role in the Divergent war, he was never the same. He completely shut himself away from anyone, including you, his girlfriend. He may have done some bad things in life, and most people, other than you, may despise him, but he did not deserve to go through this mental suffering, though you were always there for him, he found himself feeling completely alone. His own thoughts were driving him insane, but he refused to share them with anyone.

' You get caught in a hurricane.

Scattered thoughts make you go insane.

You lock yourself in your own cage.

Hide the keys and then fade away.'

Tonight was another sleepless night for Eric, he just sat in bed staring at the blank wall in front of him. After a while of watching him, you decide to get up and sit next to him, you rub circles on his back to calm him down, to tell him that he's not alone, you tell him that you will be there to support him, tonight, and always.

'You are not alone.

We can get through it tonight.

I will be the anchor to your runaway train tonight.

I will be the beacon when you're feeling insane.

I know it hurts sometimes, so I'll get in line with you.

Tonight, I will be the anchor to your runaway train.

I will be your anchor.'

He thinks that life is crashing down on him, he thinks its the end, he wants it to be the end. But you assure him, you will always be there for him, you will never leave his side, through thick and thin, you're here to stay.

'You think this could be the end, an afterlife is just pretend.

Illuminate the darkest days.

I'm never leaving your side, I'm here to stay.'

You will forever be his anchor.
