"Okay. That's...that's enough." I turned around and looked at Eric, confused at what he was talking about. I raised an eyebrow, but he just shook his head, before he walked over to me.

"Something is wrong, Y/N. You've been acting weird the whole week. At first I thought you were just nervous about the new initiates coming, but now that that is done and you're still acting strange...what is wrong Y/N? Talk to me." I froze. Was I really that obvious? But I couldn't tell him. No one could know...especially Eric.

I tried to shake off the nervousness and surprise at his observations and forced a smile on my face.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, Eric. Yes, I was a bit nervous about the new initiates, nut that's it." He came closer until he stood right in front of me.

"You're a terrible liar, Y/N." His hands landed on my shoulders, and he gave them a reassuring squeeze. "You can talk to me. I won't judge you or stop loving you. You can trust me." As much as I loved the man in front of me, and as much as those words meant to me, I couldn't tell him. I took a step back and shook off his hands.

"I...I'm sorry Eric. I can't tell you." He frowned at me and I knew that the anger was rising inside him. He meant well, but he still had a temper.

"Y/N..." His jaw was clenched, just like his fists. I wasn't sacred. I knew Eric would never hurt me, but I also didn't want to be yelled at, so I quickly bypassed him and grabbed my jacket and key on my way out the door.

I could hear him yelling my name, but I just continued on, needing some time for myself.

A few hours later, I was still sitting by the chasm, watching the water rush underneath my feet. I sighed. No matter how much I loved and trusted Eric, if I told him, I knew that our relationship would be over.

Heavy footsteps pulled me from my thoughts and I looked up, watching the blonde man, I was just thinking about, walk towards me. I turned my face away, looking back at the water, not moving, even when he sat down beside me.

"I love you." Silence. "And that will never change. Even when we're old and grey, I will still be by your side." My eyes flicked in his direction and I saw the sincere smile on his face.

"If...if I tell you, promise me that it won't change anything. Please." Eric nodded, a serious look on his face.

I gathered all the courage inside me, took a deep breath and with my eyes on the water, I told him.

"I'm pansexual." Silence. Silence so thick, I didn't dare look up. Silence so uncomfortable, I wish I hadn't said what I said.

"Pan...sexual...which one is that again?" The curiosity, and not disgust, in his voice surprised me. My head snapped up and I looked at him. His lips were pulled into a small smile, encouraging me to talk.

"Ahm...so...I guess I...I'm interested in more than just male and female. I...I like many different genders and gender identities." Eric stayed silent but nodded. But I felt like I needed to explain more. "Look, if gender were ice cream flavors...some people only like chocolate, some only strawberry. Some like both and some like a lot of different flavors as long as it's ice cream...does that make sense?" Eric continued to nod. And then, there was silence again. Until he broke it with his own confession.

"You know...I love strawberry. But chocolate is not half bad." My eyes widened in surprise. I never would've expected that.

"So...you're..."

"Bisexual. Yup." I didn't know what to say. But..

"Does that mean that you don't mind...me?" Eric looked shocked and shook his head.

"Of course not! I would be quiet the hypocrite, plus...I love you Y/N. No matter your sexuality. That won't change." I smiled at him.

"Thank you." A heavy weight lifted off my shoulders and I sighed in relief. But now...I was curious.

"Were you ever with a...man?" Eric chuckled.

"Yeah...don't tell anyone, but I was actually with Four for some time." My eyes widened again. "We kept it a secret, but it ended when...when you arrived." He looked at me with eyes filled with love. I felt butterflies in my stomach, just like on the day we first met.

Without hesitation, I tackled him in a hug ending with both of us laying on the floor, close to the chasm. We were laughing, both of us glad that we had confessed our secrets.

And from that day on, Eric had to hit me, whenever we met Four, to keep me from grinning like an idiot.
