Imagine: Coming out as a lesbian to your best friend, Eric. He is completely accepting and he helps you come out to the rest of your friends.

"Are you feeling alright Y/N?" Your best friend, Eric, asks you as you sit on his couch in his living room. You nod absentmindedly, knowing you can't tell him how you're actually feeling, you and Eric have been friends for years, and you share everything with each other, but you are not sure how to tell him the one thing that's been haunting you for years. He grabs your chin and forces you to face him, "Come on Y/N, I know you're lying to me, what's wrong? You know you can tell me."
"Eric, I-I'm in love," You mutter.
He jumps off the couch, excited, "Are you serious? Who is he? Who's the lucky guy?"
Eric has always thought of you as a sister, so you never had to worry about him being jealous. But as soon as he asks this question you break, and start crying, "Eric, it-it's, it's not-"
"Shit!" He sits back down and pulls you into his arms, "It's what Y/N? Does he not like you back or something like that? If that's the case, don't worry, he doesn't deserve you alright, he doesn't see what he's missing out on, he should jus-"
"Eric! Stop," You wipe your tears and sniffle, "That's not what's wrong. The problem is that the person that I'm in love with isn't a he, I'm in love with a girl."
He stays silent, and you start crying again, "Eric, I'm lesbian, I like girls, not guys."
"Okay," He shrugs his shoulders, "So? Y/N, it doesn't matter if you love girls rather than guys, love is love, whether it's with the opposite gender or with the same gender, you're still a human, and I don't care if nobody else accepts you, I always will."
You wrap your arms around him, "Th-thank you Eric, thank you so much!"
"You don't need to thank me Y/N, you're my best friend and I love and care about you," He kiss you on the forehead. This was a common thing for him to do, there was absolutely no romance between the two of you, but he would always do and say things like this when he tried to comfort you, and it always does help.
"Eric, I can't hold this back anymore, I need your help to tell our other friends, will you help me?" You ask him.
"Of course I will!"
After a long pep talk with Eric, you two walk to dinner and sit with the rest of your friends, "Hey guys, Y/N has something to tell you all, I want you to listen carefully and if you don't agree with her, you can feel free to leave this table."
The rest of your friends look a little worried and the encourage you to tell them what's going on so you finally do. All your friends accept you and most of them compliment your bravery, making you feel more Dauntless.
After dinner one of your best girl friends come up to you, the one you were crushing on, "Oh thank God you told us this Y/N, I always thought I was the only one who felt this way, I'm so glad I found someone who feels the same way."
"Y-you too?" You ask surprised.
"Yup," She smiles, "And I like you Y/N."
"Really? I like you too!" You say happily, she pulls you in for a hug and you see Eric smiling at you, just before he leaves the two of you alone you mouth, 'Thank you.'
End.
