**FLASHBACK**

"Put down the knife! I'm not going to hurt you!" You heard the demon call, as you approached him in the abandoned factory.

"I don't take orders from scum like you!" You were a trained hunter, and were currently hunting a witch who was wrecking havoc in a local town. The demon wasn't supposed to be involved, but when you discovered his presence in the town, you decided that you might as well take care of him too.

"I can help you! We're both here for the same reason," He explains, stepping out from the shadows, hands up in surrender. Holy shit, would I go to hell for sleeping with a demon...? Focus Y/N!

"What are you talking about?"

"The witch," he shrugs, "I've got a history with her, and I'd like to take care of it. You and I are hunting the same thing sweetheart."

"And what makes you think I want your help?" You ask, stepping closer and touch his chest with the tip of the knife you had gotten, courtesy of the Winchesters.

He sighs, and with the flick of his hand, he throws you against the wall and with another swift motion, your knife is laying half way across the floor, "Or I could just kill you?"

You groan. I'm at a dead end, the only other way for me to finish this case is to call the Winchesters and there's no way I'm doing that. Besides, he's pretty attractive, "Alright, just put me down!"

Without warning, he drops you, he shrugs when you glare at him, "You asked. I'm Eric by the way."

"Y/N."

"Oh trust me sweetheart, I've heard all about you," he smirks.

Over the course of the next few days, you discovered that Eric wasn't actually that bad of a guy. You had encountered your fair share of demons, and despite his sadistic attitude, he was actually a decent guy. You had also learned quite a bit about his past. He told you that he worked for some strange government, before a man named Four, the leader of a rebel group, shot him. Eric had his fair share of crimes so of course he had gone to hell. He was lucky enough to be able to use his own body as a vessel once he was finally allowed to roam the earth once again.

After the case had ended, you changed your original plan of killing Eric, and the two of you actually stayed in touch.

**END FLASHBACK**

Over the course of the next two years, you had formed a close friendship to Eric, and eventually it turned to a relationship. He loved you and you loved him, it didn't matter to you that he was a demon, and it didn't matter to him that you were a hunter. He, in fact, assisted you with your hunts as long as you weren't hunting other demons, if that was the case he stayed out of your way. Eric knew never to cause trouble, he knew you wouldn't think twice before killing him if it ever came to that, and he wouldn't have it any other way. The only problem was that none of the other hunters would ever approve of this, the only two that knew were Charlie and Garth, they were the only ones who were somewhat open minded about things like this.

Today, however, was different, you bumped into Sam and Dean on a case and they didn't give you a chance to inform your demon-turned-hunter boyfriend before they decided to join you.

You kept trying to contacting him to tell him not to show up until after the Winchesters were gone, but it was no use, he wouldn't pick up his phone. It also didn't help that Dean was your ex and he refused to let that go.

The three of you were in an old warehouse, when you heard a crash; you instantly took out your guns, pointing them towards the source of the sound. You heard a series of knocks and instantly knew it was Eric, "Put your guns down!" You yell at the boys before returning the knocks.

"You know who that is?" Sam asks.

"Yes..."

Eric walks out of the shadows, just as he had the first night you met him, and the boys instantly put their guns back up, "Don't!"

"Y/N he's a demon!"

"I. Don't. Care."

"Y/N-"

"PUT YOUR GUNS DOWN!"

They slowly lower their guns and Eric approaches you, "Um guys... this is Eric..."

"Oh so you're on a first name basis with a demon?" Dean questions.

"We're...umm," You contemplate whether or not you should actually tell them, but before you can decide, realization dawns upon him.

"You-" He points between the two of you, "You two are... together?"

"Dean..."

"Like together together?!"

"Dean-"

"Y/N HE'S A DEMON!"

"DEAN!" You finally catch his attention, "Look, you two know me; you have known me for years. I am one of the best hunters out there, I can tell the monsters from the..." You pause, lacking a better word for Eric, "Whatever, all I know is, Eric is not a monster!"

You argue for a while, mostly with Dean, Sam seems more accepting of it -having been there of course. Eventually, he gives up and the four decide to get on with the case.

At the end of the night, the four of you are walking back to your cars when Sam grabs Eric's arm and stops him, "Look, Eric, I don't like you and I don't trust you, but Y/N is like my sister and I trust her judgement, but if you ever hurt her-"

"Yeah, yeah, you'll kill me, I know," Eric finishes.

Sam smirks, "No, but after I finish with you, you'll beg me to kill you."

Eric nods compliantly, and Dean turns his attention towards you, "You know something Y/N?"

"What?"

"This," He gestures towards Eric, "Is what I call a massive downgrade."

He laughs at his own joke and you roll your eyes, "Asshole."
