(A/N: sorry if ages aren't accurate. I'm going with 100 elf years is about 20 human years. So in human years you are currently around 14/15.)

Your P/O/V:

Humming softly I smooth down the fabric of my dress. Tying the cord loosely around my waist I start styling my hair placing my tiara on top while opening Laeannas door. "Lae, you do know we have to leave in a hour." my sister grumbles rolling over in bed "Lae?" she sits up scowling "I'm awake Y/N, relax." Standing I walk over tugging open the curtains as our maid walks in smiling brightly "Good morning your highness's." I skip over "Good morning Meriel." She reaches out adjusting my hair slightly so that it lays flat "Your parents are waiting in the dining room. Laeanna, are you awake your highness?" she grumbles from under the sheets and I quickly leave before a tantraum can erupt.

Are there you are Y/N. Where is your sister?" I pull myself up into my chair "Meriel is getting her ready." my mother frowns shaking her head "One day your sister will learn that being on time is the most important part of being princess. Come Mela eat some breakfast." father appears at her shoulder dressed in his a navy blue tunic his crown nestled elegantly on his dark hair "The horses are ready Meleth nîn. Ah goodmorning Y/N did you sleep well?"

"Yes papa." The doors open Meriel guiding my sister in with a hand on the small of her back "Excuse the latness your majesty."

"There is no problem Meriel, thank you. Laeanna how did you sleep dear?" Lae comes and sits next to me looking as perfect as always not a hair out of place "Fine mother. Do we really have to go to Greenwood?" our father chuckles "Yes Mela. King Oropher has invited us as special guest to the festival of starlight it would be incredibly rude to not attended. He came here for the last festival." Vague memories of King Oropher and a young boy who didn't speak at all and pulled faces behind his fathers back spring to mind.

I smile brightly at my twin sister "It will be fun Lae, also mama mentioned King Oropher has a son." she pouts slightly "I suppose. Not really how I wanted to spend my birthday though." mother smiles standing her gown flowing elegantly around her "But what better way to celebrate your 75th birthday than with a ball?"

She floats out the room and my father shoots us both a wink "There will be some suprises as well I think." the two of us giggle and jump down from the table swinging on his arms as we walk out to the horses already saddled. My own horse is a beautiful black stallion called Elira one of the guards step forward to help with the long gown it is much appreciated. "Comfortable highness?" I nod "Yes thank you Dogion." he steps back and my sister rolls her eyes slightly "You shouldn't address servants by name." I shrug slightly "I don't see why I shouldn't sister."

Our parents ride in front of us guards behind on either side all laden with bags and gifts. "We will reach Greenwood by mid evening." I glance back at our home as we ride out into the forest before turning my attention to the road ahead.
