"Would you like help changing your highness?" I examine the complicated ribbon fastings down the back "Yes please that would be most welcome. I would like to bathe first if that is alright." she curtseyes putting the box down delicatly on the bed "Of course, I shall fill the bath for you. Will you require any assistance?"
I smile following her into the adjoining bathroom the bath sunk into the floor "That won't be necessary thank you. Although if you could help style my hair that would be much appreciated I can never get it to stay quite right." she nods pouring oils and petals into the water the sweet smell of roses filling the room "I am so sorry I didn't ask your name?"
She turns curtsying slightly "Arlin your highness." "A pleasure to meet you Arlin, please call me Y/N." she turns while I slip into the water dunking my head under the water "Is this your first trip to Greenwood?" I nod letting her comb through my hair "Yes, its beautiful but so is home. However I did see a beautiful garden, I am hoping to investigate later."
"Oh the gardens are lovely. But if you are wanting to see something truly beautiful the royal gardens just behind are supposed to be stunning." She holds out a towel as I climb out the bath "Thank you." I step into the dress letting Arlin do up the back and style my hair placing my tiara gently back on top "I forgot to wish you a happy birthday your highness, your mother and father are in the main dining room. I can take you there if you like?"
"Thank you that would be excellent." I follow her through the palace where decorations have already been put up garlands of flowers, leaves and sparkling stones. Everything looks like it is coated in stardust. "I will leave you hear your highness. Enjoy the rest of your day."
"Thank you Arlin." two guards push open the doors allowing me to walk through "Good morning Mela, happy birthday." I run into my fathers open arms grinning "Thank you papa." he grins and holds out a small box wrapped with green ribbon "For you mela." I untie the ribbon revealing a beautiful golden arm band

I take my daggers placing them on the table "Happy birthday your highness." I turn curtsying "Thank you your highness." he chuckles slightly "I belive calling me Thranduil will be easier." I laugh "Y/N is fine as well."
My sister squeals excitedly holding up a stunning necklace which she instantly puts on "Thank you its beautiful." Thranduil smiles slightly "Are you looking forward to the ball this evening?" I nod "Yes, I love dancing. Although I was hoping to explore the gardens first. My maid, Arlin mentioned there was a royal gardens as well may I explore them?"
He bows his head very slightly "Of course you may." my sister comes over beaming "Good morning sister. Prince Thranduil." "Happy birthday your highness. Excuse me." he walks away and Laeanna's face turns sour "Prince Thranduil is mine. Keep your nose out sister." I hold back a sigh "Lae, I have no interest in the prince." she smiles "Good." I eat a plate of fruit before leaving my sister to look over the preperations for this evening while I go in search of my room.
