Thrandruil x reader

Chapter 4

I frown turning down yet another corridor not finding a single guard or elf I can ask the way. Finding another door I knock gently before pushing it open finding myself in a cavernous room branches weaving out of the walls to create rows upon rows of shelves. Woah. "Princess Y/N." I spin curtsying low "King Oropher I am so sorry if I disturbed you. I got a little lost." he chuckles "Do not worry my dear, the library is open to all. Do you enjoy reading?" I nod raising my eyes "Yes I adore reading. I have been learning about how our weapons are crafted and used." he smiles softly "That is a strange topic for a princess to enjoy." 

I raise my head slightly "My father lets me train with the guards once a week." he chuckles "I did not mean to offened. If those are the books you are interested in you will want the shelves over there. Morthil my librarian is around somewhere should you need any help. Enjoy your reading princess." I curtsey 
"Thank you your majesty." he sweeps out the room and I turn once more breathing in deeply walking around I find a set of double doors that lead out into the garden I was trying to reach earlier stepping out I find I am practically underneath my room. 

"Are you alright Y/N?" I turn smiling "Yes thank you, I got a little lost." Thranduil chuckles folding his hands behind his back "I still get lost now and then, it is rather confusing. May I escort you around the gardens?" I smile "I don't want to be a burden." 
"It isn't a problem." we walk side by side through the trees bright flowers blooming everywhere their soft fragrance filling the air. "Do you enjoy the outdoors?" I smile leaning down to smell a bunch of beautiful roses "Yes, I spend as much time as possible outside. I love horseriding and my father is teaching me how to use a bow. But I also enjoy painting and reading."

He nods slightly "My father allows me to train with the guards twice a week. I will one day fight along side my people should the occassion present itself." I smile tracing a petal "My father allows me to train once a week but my mother does not approve." he chuckles "I shall try and stay on your good side then." I grin following him through a tall gate into a small walled garden that has a beautiful purple wisteria in the middle benches all around "Oh this is lovely." he nods "I suppose, I like coming here to think." I smile spinning around slowly "I can see why its so peaceful." 

Thranduil takes his hand out from behind his back holding out a collection of small sky blue flowers "For you." I curtsey taking them from him "Thank you, they are lovely." we take a turn around the garden before walking slowly back to the palace where we come face to face with my sister barely contained rage written across her face "Y/N mother was looking for you." I smile "Thank you for showing me around prince, I will see you later." I hastily leave clutching my forget me nots tightly.

Once safely back in my room I press the flowers in the book I am currently reading to preserve them before slowly walking to the ballroom where people have slowly started to gather for the begining of the celebrations that will run all the way through till tomorrow morning.
