Melody's POV
After an hour of chatter, Cassie exclaimed that she was tired from all of the driving and staying up late. I can tell from the glint in her blue eyes that she was lying.
What is she up to?
We bid our goodbyes to the boys and clambered into Cassie's car. I call shotgun and got to sit on the passenger side.
"So?" I asked turning my attention to Cassie.
"So... What?" Cassie spoke nervously.
"Why did we leave? We know you Cassie. You will stay up all night if you want and still have enough energy to go and run around." Alisha chipped in with a sly smirk.
She looked at us with a sheepish smile and said, "I wanted us to talk without them around."
Alisha looked at me and nodded. I sighed, "Yeah that is pretty believable."
Cassie let out a breath in relief but I saw both Alisha and her tense up when I said, "Care to tell me what you guys are up to? Without telling me might I add."
Alisha let a small fake laugh, "Nothing."
I rolled my eyes knowing I won't get anything out of these girls and changed the topic for the rest of the car ride.

We arrived home finally and I was the first to enter the house running towards my sweet sweet bedroom. Once I opened the door a made a beeline towards my bed and jumped on it happily. Until I felt something underneath the bed. It was moving.
I opened the sheets slowly to reveal a dark brown rat scurrying around on my bed. I screamed bloody murder until I saw out of my peripheral vision Cassie and Alisha in tears from laughing.
I glared at them and stormed over, "What is this!"
I signalled to the rat which was now about to jump off my bed. I ran over and picked up while scowling. I walked out of the room and set it free out of the window.
"Hey Mel?" Alisha said innocently.
"Yes?" I said feeling suspicion rise in me.
"Happy Prank Days." Cassie whispered in my ear while putting whip cream in my hair.
How could I have forgotten!
Every year since Cassie, Alisha and I met we always have three days in which we prank each other. Whoever succeeds with the most pranks wins and gets $20 from each of the other players. Last year Alisha won. This year I plan to win no matter what.
I groaned while going upstairs to shower while yelling, "I will get you back!"
That silenced their laughter. They know I am good at pranking. I smirked to myself and washed the whip cream out of my now wet hair.

I woke up early in the morning to put my plan into action. I smiled evilly to myself while putting on my needed clothes before my lecture which starts in 3 hours. I put on a black lace skater dress and simple cream flats pairing it off with a cream cardigan. Putting my hair in a quick pony-tail and applying some blush and tinted chapstick.
I went to my drawers and got my needed items for the upcoming prank.
Goo.
Water.
Silly string.
Two red dodge balls.
I looked at the time and realised I had around 1 hour till my lecture. I opened Cassie's door.
"Wake up Cassie!" I screamed into her ear spraying silly string all over her. She woke up with an aggravated scream.
I saw Alisha run straight into the room. Just as I expected. I sprinted after her will smashing goo all over her blond hair.
"MELODY!" Alisha screamed.
Cassie and Alisha were now chasing me at full pelt. I grinned and ran into the kitchen quickly jumping over the string I had put down. Both of them ran in at the same time only for them to hit the string and a bucket of water to splash all over them.
I picked up the dodge balls I hid in the cabinet and through them at them. Hitting Alisha on the side of the hip and Cassie on the legs which cause her to fall and Alisha following after.
"Happy Prank Day girls." I smiled leaning back on the counter. Taking a apple biting into it, I arched an eyebrow watching and waiting how they will react.
"You are walking." Cassie stated.
My mouth dropped open in shock, "What! No! I will be late!"
"Well you better get going Mel." Alisha said with a coy smile.
I grumbled and ran out the door and the building. I sighed and began my trek to the university.

I was walking along a path way absentmindedly when I heard a faint roar of a bike behind me. I turned around to see Chase taking his helmet off and chuck it in this area under the seat of his motor bike. He jogged to catch up to me grinning as I gave him a confused look.
"What are you doing?" I asked purely astonished.
"You look like you needed company." He responded with a charming smirk.
I raised my eyebrows, "And you are just going to leave you bike there? You know it can be stolen right?"
He chuckled shaking his head down, "No. It says my name on the bike and everyone in this neighbourhood knows not to take my bike. Or my belongings."
He looked pointedly at me as I nodded carefully. He gave me a facial expression as if trying to give me a message. I didn't get it till I started to look around. I saw the ally way I was pulled into and slightly opened my mouth as if to say "Ohhhh."
"That is why that man backed off."
He looked at me and firmly said, "Yes."
I looked down and we just started walking in a comfortable silence. I started to think about my lecture and what we might be doing today. We might be able to cook. As I was thinking I looked at Chase and furrowed my eyebrows realising something.
"Why have you got your bag on? You shouldn't have a lecture today if I remember correctly."
He looked at me nervously and said, "Uh... Yeah I don't I am just delivering something to someone."
"Who?" I prodded.
"Enough with the questions. Here we are. You better run don't want to be late for your lecture." He said changing the topic.
I sighed angrily and walked away, making my way to my upcoming lesson.
What is Chase hiding?
I started to think about what it could be and any possible lecture that are on today.
I suddenly realised.
