Melody's POV
In five minutes I was in a mad rush, squeezing my dark denim jeans on and managing to fall down in the act. Groaning I got up when I heard a knock on our apartment door.
"Don't open it!" I squealed at the girls.
Throwing on a light grey jumper and brushing the knots out of my hair as well as applying some chap stick. I bounded downstairs and made my way to the door where Cassie was frozen in place with her hand just touching the door knob.
"What are you doing?" I chuckled.
"You said to not open it." She said through her teeth.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door to see a impatient Chase, "I said don't open it not freeze, silly."
"Bye, have fun!" She said smirking.
"I will try!" I shot over my shoulder.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Chase pouted.
"It means I will try to have fun with someone as boring as you." I said crossing my arms playfully.
He gave me a deadly look and was in a stance that was ready to pounce, I screamed and ran for my life to his car. Racing down the apartment block stairs I heard the entrance open with a band and the pattering of Chase's vans hit the ground.
"Melody, catch!" Chase said I whipped around to see his keys flying towards me, holding my hands out I caught them effortlessly. Chase was in front of me smiling now, his blue eyes gleaming with a bright emotion.
An emotion I can't recognize.
"Ready to go?" He tilted his head with a smile, he caught me staring.
"Yes, where are we heading?" I asked hopping in the passenger side as Chase held the door open for me.
"You'll see." He slammed the door shut and jogged over to the side.
With that we zoomed down the street going to god knows where.

It took many twists and turns when I saw a little track ahead of us.
Where are we?
I was indeed very confused but decided not to say anything and work it out myself. Scanning the area, I figured we are at a race track but why?
Chase opened the door for me and I jumped out and took a better look at my surroundings, "Chase, why are we at a race track?"
"How do you feel about go-karts?" He said crossing his arms and leaning against the car, glancing at me.
"You aren't serious." I stated, a little shocked.
"Well, I am. We are going to go go-karting." He said with a big grin.
This idiot.
"Why?" I said exasperatedly.
"Because it will make a fun date." He said clapping his hands together and grabbed my hand pulling me towards the entrance.
"It better." I grumbled in agreement.
He pulled me closer to him and smiled giddily, we started to walk to the entrance and looked at the man by the gate. Chase whispered something in his ear and he opened the gate up for us allowing us through. We walked into a small room where there was an instructor telling us what we have to do and what equipment we use. Once we were all ready to go he showed us the track and our little karts. To be honest this will be a blast and it is sweet that Chase is being like this. I made my way to the kart with a helmet by my side and in a small suit.
"Melody!" Chase called catching up to me.
"Yes?" I questioned.
"Good luck, you're going to need it." He said pushing me slightly.
"Be careful Chase, don't want you to get hurt trying to beat me." I shot back with a smirk and started up the kart as I was safely inside.
The light flashed from red to yellow to green and I was off racing around the course. The thrill it gave me was indescribable this was better than bumper cars.
By a lot.
I screamed as a turned and threw my head back in a laugh as I looked through the rear view mirror I saw Chase chuckling as he caught up to me, I started to move again placing my hands on the steering wheel I slammed my foot on the pedal and speed down the track. The turns were my favourite considering that I felt the wind rush towards my face and my hair fly past me. Once we had done our three laps I got out victoriously as I saw Chase's light blue kart park beside me.
He got out of the car smiling and then gave me a small glare, "Were you careful?" I asked amused.
"Very. But I am glad you were." He said placing a chaste kiss on my cheek.
"Stop your making me blush." I mumbled looking down.
"Sorry, you look gorgeous when you blush." He said with a little laugh scratching the back of his neck.
"I am sure." I said sarcastically.
He chuckled and took my hand again leaving this bright tingles that graces a smile to my face. We started to head back home and once we reached town I saw many building surround us again.

Making our way through the streets again I saw a familiar figure walking down the street in a dark hoodie.
Rolling down the window I yelled out, "Linda?"
Linda's head snapped up with a tear stained face, I ushered her in the car she hit the back seat and let out a strangled sob. I gave a worried look at Chase and he gave me a reassuring one grabbing my hand and then started driving again.
"Linda, what happened?" I said surprised at why she was crying.
"Someone came to my house last night." She said with a terrified look in her eyes.
"Who? Who came to your house?" I asked snapping my head to her.
"He started telling me to stay away from you guys or I will pay. Or you. I can't remember." She started crying again, "He really scared me, he injected something in my arm and that's when I decided to go for a walk. Nothing has happened so far, am I going to die?"
"Linda, I know you are in a terrible state, but what did he look like? Did he say his name? Trust me, you aren't going to die. I promise. I'm here." I said moving to the back seat grabbing her shoulders.
"His name was...." She trailed and passed out closing her eyes, what freaked me out and made Chase's car stop abruptly was the name she faintly whispered before her eyes shut.
Trent.
