Plans and Police

Melody's POV-

Looking up at Chase in astonishment, how did he get a hold of Cassie?

As if Chase read my mind he said, "Did you know the people she goes to meet up with?"

"Well..." I trailed off, racking threw my brain I try to remember what she told me.

'Hey Mel, just heading out to meet some new people in our project. Bye!'

My eyes widened and I answered with a simple nod, "She went off to meet some new people."

Chase groaned and punched the wall roughly; he went to throw a vase when my hands forced his arm down, "Chase you need to be calm. Okay?" I whispered staring intensely into his eyes until he did a curt nod. Relaxing in my hold he smiled slight at me as if to say 'Thank you'.

"Uh... guys?" Linda said breaking the silence.

"Yeah?" I said with all in one breathe.

He is gorgeous, what can I say?

"What are we going to do?" She said throwing her hands up.

"One thing for sure is that we are not handing you to those monsters." I spat out.

"Well obviously." Linda huffed.

"We need to talk to Derrick, see if he saw anything or anyone." Chase spoke pulling out his phone and dialling his number. Walking out of the room he mumbled some things to him and explained the situation from what I could hear.

Once I was out of ear-shot I turned to Linda, "I have a plan, but I know for sure Chase will not like it."

Linda looked at the door way and then to me grinning, "I'm in."

Glancing at her nervously, "There is one catch, you may get hurt in the process, but it should be a low chance."

"Mel, I will stick by you. What is it?" She prodded.

"The plan is to fake it. You need to be handed over only once they release Cassie is when you bolt, got it?" I sternly said, "If I am correct, I may be able to cause a distraction for them to be occupied long enough for you and Cassie to be safe."

"What about you Mel?" Linda worriedly said.

"I will be fine, I can take care of myself," Shrugging off her comment.

"But-," Linda was about to finish when Chase intervened, "But what? What is going on?"

I coughed awkwardly before shuffling on my feet, "Nothing, we were just talking about how strange this situation is."

He shot me a sceptical look but bought it, "Derrick said his car got hit as well, they left the address and what time we have to be there by."

"Which was?" I asked.

"Midnight, and by looking at the time I say we have one hour to get there." He said turning around and walking to the front door, opening it up for us and made a gesture saying 'ladies first'.

I laughed and allowed Linda go before me following after her. Wandering over to the car Linda and I exchanged concerned looks.

"Where are we going?" Linda said curiously.

"Danny's Shed it is about half an hour away and is pretty abandoned." Chase said simply.

"Chase, do we have a plan?" I said understanding what Linda is trying to do here.

"Yes, we are not handing Linda over and simply discuss the matter." He stated holding the passenger door open for me.

"What!" I shouted.

"Way to wake the neighbourhood up." He muttered.

"Are you insane?" I said now in a low tone.

"I hope not." He sighed starting the engine racing off.

It has been twenty minutes and we are still on the road, I saw a petrol station up ahead. My plan is taking action right now.

"Chase, can I go to the toilet real quick?" I said.

Nodding he pulled into the statin and stretched over me opening the door.

"Thank you." I mumbled racing to the toilets in the store.

Dialling 911 I heard the operator on the other side, "Hello, what is your emergency?"

"There has been a break in at Danny's Shed, send help immediately." I said gasping for air as if I was in the location.

Well I will be soon.

"Okay, help is on its way." With that all I could hear was the sound of her ending the call.

Placing my phone back in my pocket I raced back to the car and crossed my fingers that the cops will show up in just the right time.

"What took you so long?" Chase suspiciously looked at me.

"Oh you know..." I said trying to make it look as if it was that time.

"OH." He said keeping his eyesight straight on the road and blushed.

Linda let out a laugh as I smirked; let's hope he is buying all of this.

We finally reached our destination within minutes, no police in sight.

Well luck just may be on my side tonight.

"Linda can you stay on the car for one second?" Chase asked as Linda nodded a little bit confused by his question.

"Yes?'" I said crossing my arms, arching an eyebrow.

"I want you to know, whatever you are planning you need to stop it right now." Chase said calmly taking a step closer to me.

"W-What do you mean? I-I'm not planning anything?" I said trying to sound convince but failing dramatically.

"Yes you are," He said slowly running a hand through his hair and sighing, "Just be careful."

"Okay." I said looking down at the ground.

"Promise me?" He said lifting my chin up to look at him.

"I promise." I said blushing furiously.

Why must this happen now?

He pulled away and let Linda out of the car, this should be one bumpy ride. Think positively Melody, everything may run smoothly.

Well if smooth has kinks in it then yeah let's not.

Okay maybe I need to stop talking to myself.

Everything should get just fine, and if not then let's hope that the police do actually show up before it's too late.

That's the one thing that scares me the most; what if it is too late?
