Melody's POV
It was time to get going, I but everything that was needed in my purse. Alisha gave me a quick hug and a teasing wink as I walked out, I began to look around for Chase. He was nowhere to be found. I heard a faint sound of a car honk and immediately knew he was outside. Making my way out the front door the honks still hadn't stopped.
"I get it!" I yelled making my way over to a black sleek car.
"I have been pounding on this horn for the past ten minutes." Chase exaggerated with a sly smirk.
"Well, that's nice, knowing the whole neighbourhood hates you." I said sarcastically.
Chase chuckled and rolled his eyes, "Get in."
"Alright, alright." I said putting my hands up and sliding into the passenger side, "Where are we going?"
"Not telling you." He replied with taking my hand with his.
In that moment everything felt like it was fine, I felt elated and overwhelmed. It seriously shouldn't be a big deal but to me it was the best thing that I ever felt has happened in the past few stressful weeks. I mean we have held hands a bunch load of times but this time was different, this time I knew that he truly liked me and we were actually trying this whole thing.
"Come back to earth, Melody." He gruffly spoke waving a hand over my face.
"I get it," I said pushing his hand away laughing, "Let's play some music."
I saw Chase nod beside me with a happy glint in his eye as he switched on the radio, the rest of the ride was spent with laughter and talking. Along with the silent moments of just letting ourselves zone out in the music.
That was until a medium sized rock hit our windshield.
***
I screamed when I saw something hit our windshield at the lights, what was that? Chase pulled over and retrieved the rock safely walking back over to me.
"Why was that thrown at us?" I questioned pointing at the object clasped in his hand.
"I know as much as you do, I thought I saw something attached to it, I was right." Chase said holding up a small piece of paper. I made my way beside him so we were hip to hip and read the note over his shoulder.
It read:
Better have those diamonds ready, just a warning.
Trent
Chase's expression turned dark, "They could have severely hurt you, over a 'warning'."
What?
"And you too." I said taking the note from his hand and shredding it to pieces.
"You're more important." He stated.
Aw.
"So are you, let's forget about this and go on whatever you had planned for me." I grinned grabbing his arm and dragging him to his side of the car.
"Fine." He sighed getting in the car and turned the ignition on.
I smiled feeling accomplished and went back to the position we were in ten minutes ago, in the car having a nice time.
We finally arrived to wherever the hell we were and I got out of the car amazed at the grand building in front of us.
"What is this place?" I looked up at Chase to see him smiling down at me already.
I felt like I was cloud nine.
"It is a restaurant I found a year ago but never got to take anyone here." He said grabbing my hand again and leading me inside with butterflies erupting in my stomach.
Never knew you could be so spontaneous Chase.
The entrance looked gorgeous with little intricate design on both walls and a very nice oak table with a petite lady sitting at the front.
"Hello, your name please?" The lady asked looking at Chase and not even acknowledging me.
"Winters." He spoke and wrapped an arm around my waist.
Happy. No other word to describe this feeling.
The lady frowned a little but stood up and walked us to our reserved table, which was near the doors that led outside and away from everyone else in the building, it was also on the second floor. This building had floors, this seems so unreal.
Almost as if I was dreaming.
Chase pulled my chair our looking all proud and might, "Okay calm down, macho man you only pulled out a chair for me."
"Why must you lower my self-esteem?" Chase said mockingly holding a hand to his heart.
"Whatever." I shrugged off laughing.

We were on our way back to Brock's house when I saw that we were going a down a very familiar street.
No.
"Chase why are we here?" I asked perking up in my seat.
"Surprise." He grinned, "You get your apartment back, we figured you guys would be safe enough."
He seemed unsure, "What's up?" I asked giving him a hug.
He took me in the embrace and said, "I am not so sure anymore, I mean that rock that was thrown-,"
I sighed, "Chase I will be fine, I have Cassie and Alisha, do they know?"
"Yes, they were in on it too, they even knew that you were going on a date with me." He smirked.
I feel like everything right now should slow down and pause, everything was I hate to say this word but perfect.
"Thank you, so much Chase. Now I have to face the bills." I laughed letting go of him.
He only brought me back into the embrace and whispered sweetly, "Already taken care of."
"Where do you get this money?" I asked astonished.
"My job, and gigs." He shrugged like it was nothing.
"How many gigs do you get?" I said a little surprised.
"Quite a few now." He said smiling, "We are getting bigger by the minute."
"That is really good!" I said punching his arm slightly, "Now let's check out my home."
We got out of the car and took the elevator up, I walked into the apartment and Cassie once again practically tackled me to the ground screaming 'Do you like what we did!'.
The question was, what did they do?
