Melody's POV

Cassie and I were sitting and waiting patiently in the parking lot at a near-by bench, as Cassie was asking me if anything was up?

"Melody, you have to tell me sooner or later. So, why not now?" Cassie pressed further.

"Fine, it was practically nothing. No big deal, just I heard or I miss-heard, I don't know maybe I was just thinking too much while he was talking to me and I couldn't hear him properly-"

"Melody! You're rambling," Cassie said shaking my shoulder, "Just spit it out."

"I think I heard Chase say Molly's name instead of mine!" I blurted.

"There it is, now why do you think he would say that, eh?" Cassie said raising a single eyebrow, most likely questioning my state of mind.

"I have no clue, but I swear he said Molly, but it could have just been a miss understanding right?" I questioned, more to myself than her.

"Probably, just talk to him on the car trip home." Cassie suggested, putting a hand on my shoulder reassuring me that everything should be fine and it is just me being paranoid.

"Yeah, thanks." I let out a breath of relief.

Why should I care?

I mean we aren't in a relationship, just because he likes me doesn't stop him from going after other girls. I brushed my dark locks out of my face nervously as they landed in the exact same spot, repeating this action three times, I gave up and put it in a high pony-tail.

Just as I has finished a sleek black car pulled up beside us with a grumpy Derrick wearing his black Ray-Bans inside of it.

"Where is Chase?" I asked opening the car door and sliding smoothly into the car.

"At home." He stated with a 'duh' look.

"Okay... you woke up on the wrong side of the bed." I grinned.

"Or I was called to get you girls as I was getting lucky." He mumbled.

"Oh sorry, talking to a girl is way more important than taking us back to yours safely." I say sarcastically.

"Apology accepted." He grinned.

Cassie laughed from the passenger side in the seat as I was sitting in the back rolling my eyes at his stupidity. It was a short ride home, only three songs short. I mean nine minute ride, we drove up the driveway and I made my way out of the car as it was securely parked. Making my way into the house I started to search for Chase, I checked the kitchen first knowing him, he would want food. He wasn't there which caused me to panic slightly.

What if he is with Molly?

I ran upstairs and made a bee line straight to his room, knocking on the door loudly. Wouldn't want to walk in but still want to catch them in the act. He opened the door smiling slightly as he saw me.

"Hey." He said brightly.

I brushed past him scanning the room for any bleached blonde hair, there was no sign of Molly anywhere.

"What are you looking for?" He asked standing next to me, gazing up we connected our eyes together.

"Molly, you said her name as you hung up. What was that about?" I said crossing my arms.

"I did?" He said scratching his head.

"You did." I snapped back.

"It is not what you think." He stated with his blue eyes wide.

"Really? Because that is what guys usually say when it is what you think." I said shooting daggers his way, "Explain."

"First sit down," He gestured towards his bed as I gladly accepted his offer, "Now, before I got a lift home with Derrick, Molly approached me asking why I was always with you and not her, I told her to go away. I was thinking about her little encounter with me as I was talking to you."

"And, so what?" I said, it didn't add up to him saying her name.

"Her name probably slipped out of my mouth instead of yours, Melody I would never go after other girls if I only like one." He said sweetly.

I rolled my eyes, "Sure..."

"I promise." He said looking me dead in the eyes and not missing a beat.

"I trust you." I say back with a small smile.

"I like it when you smile," he said grinning from ear to ear as I blushed, "Now I have a surprise for you after our little date."

"Date?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows together.

"Yes, a date." He said grabbing my hands and leading me out of the room.

"I don't have anything to wear." I said with doubt.

"Yes, you do. You have clothes." He rolling his eyes, "You girl."

I pushed him as we walked down the stairs which led him to fall down the last three, which was hilarious from my point of view.

His, not so much.

"You are the worst person." He groaned getting up, "But I still like you."

I began to walk to my room as I heard his friends calling from him, after that all Chase said was to meet him ready in two hours. Not telling me where we were going left me confused and excited at the same time.

So, he is the spontaneous type.

I walked into the spare room also wondering when we are going to go back to our apartment. Don't get me wrong I love living here but I miss my home.

"Hey, why do you look so happy?" Alisha said with a big smile.

Well, her date went well.

"Obviously your date went swell, and I am going on a date as well." I said giving her a quick hug.

"Really? With who?" She squealed.

"Who do you think?" I heard Cassie call from our little toilet.

"Chase?" She arched an eyebrow.

"NO." I say sarcastically, "Now what to wear?"

"Well where are you going?" Alisha asked looking through my clothes with me.

"That's the thing, I have no clue where we are going." I stated picking up a white floral top that is a little bit sheer.

"That's nice, and I would go with something casual but dress it up a bit." Alisha said picking out a black high waisted skater skirt and a white tight crop top.

"I will go try it on." I said walking into the shower area. Once I was finished trying it on I walked out to show Cassie and Alisha.

"Do a few twirls." Alisha clapped her hands together.

Cassie and I made eye contact with a wide eyed expression, Alisha is defiantly the most girlish girl in the world. I did some twirls nonetheless. We paired the whole outfit with some white converses and I just left my hair up, applying some chap stick to my dried lips. I took a look at the time to see that I have ten minutes left.

Time to prep for whatever the hell is going on.
