Melody's POV

It has been one entire week since Chase and I have admitted that we like each other and it feels like he is ignoring me. I did not see him in the lecture that I just had nor in any of his poetry ones.

Where is Chase?

I saw Derrick bound down the stairs, "Derrick!"

His head snapped in my direction, "Yes Melody?"

"I know I am asking this heaps but where is Chase?" I looked up at him with hope.

His facial features hardened and he quickly answered, "I don't know."

The same answer every single time. I just want to know.

I walked into the kitchen and left it for now making myself some chicken noodles. Cassie has gone to a party, and Alisha has gone to the gym as per usual. I heard the microwave beep signalling that my noddles are ready. I wandered aimlessly to the lounge room when a thought came to mind.

Maybe this whole thing is over. Maybe I can move back to my apartment.

With that though travelling through my mind I smiled to myself. I am really starting to miss the surroundings I am so used to. I put on Game of Thrones watching the latest episode tht had come out.

I was half way through the show and my empty bowl lay on the coffee table in front of me I heard the front door open with a loud bang. I jumped up and made my way towards the door looking around for a weapon. The sight I saw once I turned around the last corner was something quite surprising.

It was Chase, but he was on the ground and looks quite beaten up.

I shrieked for Derrick and straight away went to help Chase up.

"I'm fine." He hissed out as I clutched to one of his gashes.

"Sorry, what happened?" I rushed out as Derrick came into view.

"Jedd," was all he said before Derrick ran to his side.

I huffed and trailed behind them, "You know, I know you are avoiding me why?" I lashed out.

"I haven't been avoiding you Melody, it is just I have been busy with things." Chase turned around in Derrick's arms and walked towards me, well more like limping.

"What things Chase?" I asked, he must be lying.

"I can't tell you now. I need everyone here." He said in a low whisper looking behind my shoulder, "Close the front door."

I nodded and shut the door, "Do you want me to get the first aid kit?"

"That would be nice." Derrick chuckled.
