Like Gaur, Bonnacons are a species of wild Cattle with horns that curve inwards.
They travel in herds that can number from 15 to 70 individuals.
They are found across Europe and Asia from France to China.
All Bonnacons have horns, but it takes about 2 and a half years for them to grow in after they are born.
When in danger, Bonnacons can fire off explosive pieces of dung from their rear. This dung explodes on impact and can sometimes be as powerful as a grenade blast.
Their normal dung is not explosive and it is still unclear as to how they produce their explosive dung.
It would appear that food is not needed to make their explosive dung as even extremely malnourished Bonnacons that have not eaten for a extended period of time have been shown to still be able to produce it.
They are the second largest species of Cattle. Only Gaur are larger than them.
Though the shape of their bodies would suggest otherwise, Bonnacons are capable of running up to 40 miles per hour.
Any attempts by other creatures to domestic Bonnacons has ended with that creature being on the receiving end of their explosive dung. They can't even be put in zoos or sanctuaries because their dung could easily destroy the fences they would be placed behind.
As the previous fact suggests, Bonnacons are easily agitated and will not hesitate to let loose their explosive poop on anything that angers them.
Triplet births are extremely common in Bonnacons and they are the only type of Bovine that they regularly occur in.
Extra Fun Fact: Those that have been unlucky enough to have been hit by both Bonnacon explosive dung and Dragon fire say that there is almost no difference in the amount of pain you feel when hit by them.
