Pixie

As it was stated in the previous chapter, most Pixies were once Fairies that were corrupted and turned into a different species by the power of dark magic. They are much more aggressive and less sophisticated than they were when they were Fairies. Many of them continue to use dark magic and the more they use it, the more aggressive, sinister, and animalistic they become. Eventually, those that continue to use dark magic will lose all sentience and become unable to speak, think rationally, and even use dark magic.

Pixies are capable of reproduction, but if the child is the result of two Pixies breeding , it will basically be as wild and aggressive as a Pixie that has lost its sentience. However, Born Pixies are still as smart as Pixies that have just changed from being Fairies and will almost never lose that no matter how much dark magic they use.   

Where Fairies can sometimes be born out of love and happiness, a very animalistic Pixie will sometimes born born out of hate and anger. Things like a couple having an argument so bad that it causes a permanent break up, someone committing murder for the first time, a war or battle breaking out, a fight between two old friends, and a once good person turning to a dark path will cause a Pixie to be born from nothing. 

It is possible for a Pixie to turn a Fairy into a Pixie, but this can only be done using a powerful dark magic spell that can temporary make it to wear the bite of a Pixie can turn a bitten Fairy into a Pixie. However, this spell is extremely hard to master and will almost always cause the Pixie that used it to lose its sentience.

Using too much dark magic takes a toll on a Pixie's body. Their wings are usually torn and tattered ( making flying difficult for many of them), it is much harder for their organs to function properly, their mentality is damaged almost beyond repair, and their average lifespan is much shorter than the lifespan of a Fairy. ( Many of them don't even make it to 100)  

The transformation has changed them from herbivores to carnivores and they aggressively rip apart small prey with their sharp teeth and long and sharp retractable claws. 

They have lost the ability to grow and shrink, so whatever size they were when they turned into Pixies is the size that they are permanently stuck as.

Many of them like to steal food and valuable objects from humans and other creatures, but they have to be very careful because the weaknesses that they had when they were Fairies have gotten even worse. They will die instantly if they are exposed to certain types of metal.

Extra Fun Fact: Like with the hidden Fairy island where time passes slower, there is said to be a hidden island full of Pixies where time passes much faster than the rest of the world and while there are no records of anything being trapped there, it is believed that two months passing in the rest of the world is the equivalent to 40 years passing on that island.
