Animal Class: Mammal
Diet: Omnivorous
Like Minotaurs and Centaurs, Minoboars have spread throughout the world and can be found pretty much everywhere outside the Arctic Circle and Antarctic Circle.
DNA tests have shown that they share a common ancestor with other animals in the Suidae family, but that ancestor has yet to be found.
While Centaurs are gifted when it comes to speed and Minotaurs are gifted when it comes to strength, Minoboars are gifted with smarts with many holding jobs as teachers and scientists.
As the previous fact suggests, Minoboars are greatly accepted in Human society with about 80% of the Minoboar population living among Humans.
The Minoboars that don't live with Humans live in small villages in forests and mountains, but some have chosen to live solitary lives.
The leader of Minoboar villages is decided every 6 years and is done in a very strange way: a battle of smarts!? The defending leader will face multiple opponents in a contest to see who is more knowledgeable about certain topics. At the end of the day long competition, the Minoboar with the most points becomes ( or stays) leader.
The Minoboar smarts competitions are so popular that Minoboars from Human society, Humans, and other highly intelligent creatures ( Elves, Minotaurs, Centaurs, Dwarves, Werewolves, Merpeople, Etc) will often come to watch the competition and a few Minoboar villages have begun selling tickets to the events.
As Omnivores, Minoboars will eat almost anything, but that are very clean creatures that thoroughly inspect and clean their food before eating it and eat with utensils made specifically for their hands.
They do their best to avoid conflict, but have proven themselves very capable fighters with a few reports of them beating creatures like Werewolves and Minotaurs in single combat.
A common question that is asked is whether or not Minoboars were used as a food supply by Humans earlier in their history. The answer to this question has never been given a Yes or No answer.
As it was stated earlier, Minoboars do not like conflict, but their preferred weapon to use in battle is the bo staff.
Minoboars have mastered the art of horseback riding and many people get quite the shock the first time they see a Pig-like creature riding a Horse.
Extra Fun Fact: The Vermont Pigman is widely believed to have been a Minoboar. But the highly aggressive behavior from it does not have an explanation.
