Animal Class: Bird

Owl People and Moth People have been bitter enemies for centuries and have come to a mutual agreement to stay away from each other. Moth People chose North America and parts of Central America as their home whilst Owl People chose Europe ( primarily the United Kingdom) and parts of Asia.
Despite their large size, they fly silently, dropping down on their prey from above.
While they are normally black, brown, or a combination of black and brown, Owl People that live in the more Northern parts of places like Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia are completely white and resemble Snowy Owls.
They live alone either deep in the forest or in abandoned buildings. They do come together to mate, but they live each other after mating. The female will also lay her eggs and then leave them. She will never return to check on them.
Like the previous fact suggests, Owl People hatch from their eggs, completely independent and while sibling stick together at first, they go off on their own a few weeks after they hatch.
Like Moth People, they have a Sixth Sense that allows them to tell when something bad and disastrous is about to happen. However, instead of warning Humans and other creatures about it, they simply fly off to a safe location until the disaster is over. It is believed that this selfish behavior was what caused their feud with Moth People to start.
Being a nocturnal species, they sleep through the day and hunt at night. It is very unwise to wake a sleeping Owl Person and many have discovered this the hard( and frankly very painful) way.
Owl People are some of the most vengeful creatures on the planet and if they are wronged in any small way, they will track whatever wronged them down and take revenge. One man was reported hunted for 35 years by the same Owl Person after he accidentally shot it in the leg during a hunting trip.
Unlike Moth People, they can fly with wet wings and the ones that live in colder regions seem to have no problem flying through even the harshest of blizzards.
Due to their habit of nesting in abandoned churches( and their large red eyes that seem to glow at night), many religious people once believed that Owl People were demons. While they superstition has died out drastically, there are still plenty of religious people that believe it.
Extra Fun Fact: Multiple tests have been done to see just how long Owl People and Moth People can tolerate each other's presence. All of these tests usually end in about 30 minutes and usually end in a physical fight that has to be broken up.
