"Sand...Sand and more damn sand..." Jade muttered as he stumbled forwards. Each step reduced his present awareness as he felt his headache rising by the minutes.

He had ran out of water an hour ago and was finding difficulty in finding anything of interest in the seeming barren desert.

After a few more minutes, Jade felt like giving up, his mouth was dry and his throat burned, but he persevered. This was rewarded with the sounds of drums and desert flutes. Music came to Jade as he looked up hopefully, "This...ain't no mirage is it?" The dehydrated scientist regained the energy to sprint towards the sound ahead.

He saw a large Arabian city and quickly checked for the inhabitants. Even with the heat killing him, Jade took the necessary precautions and prepared himself for interaction with the people of this world.

He searched on his mechanical arm for his scanner and aimed it at anyone he saw. He walked while leaving his hand hanging in the air, as if he were some sort of zombie.

He soon reached another person, which he immediately scanned.

A few moments after scanning, he felt himself and looked at his hands. He combed his hair to one side as he mustered his voice, "Help!" Before collapsing. His vision blurred, but he stayed conscious.

A few people were shouting as they came over to him. From the blurry vision, he saw people in wraps and cloth that covered their heads and mouths. They helped him up by his arms and carried him to the city ahead.

He looked around for any sort of bottle and grabbed one of the people's bottles before opening the lid and drinking the contents. He felt the water pour in his mouth as the person was a little startled by his sudden movement.

Jade felt his light-headedness easing and his vision return when he hydrated himself, "Finally! Some water...damn I was thirsty." Jade blurted as he pushed the bottle into the person's hands. They frowned and shouted in Arabic language which Jade didn't understand.

Their shouts of disapproval annoyed Jade, so he quickly left them as he proceeded to the city.

It was quite a short distance so he quickly went into the bazaar and inspected the different shops and people, "Huh...humans. Explains the skin and hair I got." He touched his hair again and continued on. He took out his bottle and looked around for any water sources but the place was really crowded, so it obstructed his view of things far from him.

Jade pushed past the people and went to a shopkeeper, "Hey you! Yeah you! Where's the nearest water store?"

The shopkeeper shook his head, "We don't sell water! Water well is over there!" He pointed and Jade followed his hand. He caught glimpses of the well and quickly proceeded towards the stone structure.

He uncapped his bottle as he pulled a bucket of water up and dipped his bottle in the bucket. He drank from the bottle and washed his face.

While he used the water, he felt a presence watching him. He looked around suspiciously and noticed a boy that looked like he was in his 18s or 19s. The boy immediately looked down at a cloth bag he was holding when Jade stared at him. The scientist stopped to examine the suspicious boy.

The boy wore pink and purple Arabian clothing and had bags hanging on his belt. His hat also had a closed eye symbol made of yellow material.

Jade looked around for any other suspicious activity, and that was when the boy moved. Jade turned to track the boy again but unexpectedly, something moved in Jade's bag.

He opened it and the crystal shot out from the container. It hovered and pointed towards the boy, who was wide eyed and swiftly started running to another building.

Shouting could be heard as people stopped their activity to look at Jade. The scientist chuckled nervously before grabbing the crystal and chucking it back into the container.

"Thief!"
"Stolen!""
"Awqafuh!"

Jade realized the unrest among the villagers as they took out daggers and other weapons.

"Thief? This is mine! Where's you get that idea from?" He shouted before looking around for the boy that had escaped,
Must be him that did this...
He equipped his gun as he spun it and aimed it at approaching people who seemed to be hesitant to continue moving forward.

"Stay back you savages! Let me pass, and maybe I'll consider sparing you!"

Boy's Side:

"Crap, I think that's him! Gene said someone unusual would arrive soon. Jacket, gun, modern stuff, that's definitely him!"

A masked lady showing only one of her eyes flapped tarot cards on her face as she glanced out from the window of the building they were in, "The villagers can distract him for now...but I think he's gonna escape either way. I'll go take care of him."

"Thanks Tara, these crystals cannot fall into enemy hands...make sure to find out his identity. We can't have any agents snooping around. And try to retrieve the crystal from him. I'll deliver this one to Gene."

"Go now! The villagers are dispersing!"
