What else can I do...the power is right, the balance is also fine. I'll check the set location then.

Jade strolled over to his computer to type on it.
It read:
Conditions:
Terrascore Stability— 3 or more
Inhabitants: Present
Resources— Medium
Distance— Adjacent Universe

Powe...
(And more)

"It's fine, I guess? Should be safer for me anyways. But I definitely want to see the inhabitants. If all things come to the worst, I can just teleport back anyways. But there's no need for that if I can handle them easily.

Jade smirked at his own thoughts as he rubbed his chin and closed his eyes.

???: Hey! Have you heard the news? People are preparing to travel to other universes. There was a breakthr-"

"Thanks 'captain obvious' , what the hell do you think I'm doing?"

The person at the door came to Jade's side as he admired the large machine that stood before the two. It resembled a mechanical portal powered by a shard that had strange matter moving in constant and reckless movement.

???: "You've got quite a set-up here now don't you?"

"Obviously, I'm skilled in my craftwork. When I heard the news, I started immediately! Now look where that brought me...this here is the real deal." Jade admired his own work as he chuckled to himself.

???: "Well then...good luck in your sciency stuff. But keep this in mind—don't be complacent. I doubt you will fail, but still...sometimes unexpected things befall on arrogance."

"Pffft. Look at me Captain." Jade motioned with his hand to himself as he continued, "From the day I joined with you, I have always fended for myself. I made my own arm, I made my armor, I even created an antidote for various galactic diseases! So my skills in knowing what to do will surely pull me through this smoothly. Trust me."

He said that with so much confidence that his friend's tolerance had faltered a little. "Hey, you know, I'm just worried for you.
It...It's just—Please don't get yourself killed."

Jade rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms, "Alright then," he jabbed his finger on his friend's chest, "If you're so confident in knowing what's right then do it yourself!"

His friend smiled and held his arms in the air as if he were surrendering, "I never said that? The irony cracks me up...heh."

Jade frowned but thought about it before turning to his computer, "You know what? Leave. If you know what's good for you, you will leave. Run even. Get out of my sight."

His friend shook his head at Jade's little tantrum, "Well in that case, have fun! I'll be with Phillips to go for some drinks. We have much to discuss. Stay safe brother."

Jade couldn't help but smile at his friend's concern. Deep down, he really appreciated his friend's care. He looked to the side to hide his happiness as he replied, "Yeah yeah...whatever. Have fun...too."

His friend only grinned radiantly before turning to the sound of someone else calling for him and leaving.

Jade looked up to the portal as he prepared to pull the switch.
