Chapter 31: Ghostly Attention

Jade and Leon spawned back as Jade summoned twin swords and pierced them into the ground in anger. Leon rolled his eyes and looked away.

Fang consumed popcorn and chewed on the crunchy snack, "So...how'd it go? Who won?" Jade took a deep breath, "We got a freaking draw! No one won." He replied.

Leon turned his head to Jade, "Whatever. At least that was a good fight. One of us must have gotten lucky. And it definitely wasn't me!" Leon chuckled.

Jade clenched his mechanical arm, but calmed down. "Ssss...whatever." Jade hissed. Leon plopped another lollipop in his mouth, "Welp, I'll be going now. See ya." Leon cackled before leaving.

Fang trailed Leon with his eyes before turning back to look at Jade, "So you're the new guy right?"

"In a sense...yeah, but I've been here for a while now. I am the newest though" Jade replied.

"Oh nah that'd be the candy people!" Buster corrected as he drank a smoothie.

Fang looked at his box of popcorn as he shook it for more, "You were looking for shards or something right?" Fang asked as he turned the box before frowning in disappointment and throwing it behind his back.

Jade widened his eyes at the litter but ignored it, "Yeah. I find weird and unique activity happening around Brawltopia and access the situation. These few days have been quiet, thus giving me reason to accept a duel with Leon."

Fang nodded, "Weird activity you say? Hmm..." Fang looked at Buster who shrugged and shook his head.

"Oh I know!" Fang exclaimed as he nudged Buster, who was confused, "You should go to the Ghost Station!"

Buster spit out his drink upon hearing that, "No. Way. That place was the worst!" Fang crossed his arms, "It wasn't that bad. The child released you after 30 minutes anyway right?"

Buster's face was flustered with anger, "Exactly! That kid fooled me! He resides in the Subway, if the new guy were to enter, he'd definitely be attacked!"

Fang rolled his eyes before whispering to Jade, "He's just exaggerating..." before placing his hands on his hips.

Jade pushed past Fang, "What happened when you went there?" Jade interrogated. Buster shook his head, "Terrible things...don't go there! I swear!"

Jade persisted, "Sounds interesting. Where's this...Ghost Station?" Buster sighed, "C'mon man, it's a terrible idea!"

Jade furrowed his brow, "Are you underestimating me?" Buster shook his hands in surrender, "It's not like that! It's jus-"

"Then take me there." Jade stated flatly.

Fang patted Buster on the shoulder, "Fulfill his request then!" He cheered.

Buster sighed, "...Don't say I didn't warn you..."
