Chapter 43: Starrpark

Jade had excused himself from any disturbance from the other brawlers and went with Timon's to the exit to Brawltopia. Jade had told Pam that he was on a mission with Timone, and after much persistence, convinced her to let him leave.

"Before you go Jade, Timone, have this with you."

Pam gave them each a camera that was small and easy to attach to their radios. "Good luck."

The two walked through the forest that Timone had run from, "The robots attacked me here. So be on guard. They may still lurk the forest as rogues."

Jade doesn't respond and only moved forth, menacingly.

Shuffling from the bushes caused Timone to stop, "Someone's watching us." He warned.

Jade also stopped, but he glared around before seeing the shuffling in the bushes. As expected, a mouse bot pounced out from the bushes and attacked, but Jade smacked it down before summoning a sword and stabbing into its eye.

Timone watched from the back and winced as he saw Jade pull out the red laser eye from the robot and kick it aside. "Done and down." Jade stated before continuing on.

The deeper they went through the grove, the less bots were attacking. They went by a sign saying "No trespassing pass this point", but walked by anyways.

"This has been the farthest Brawl Stars have explored. And I plan to extend that distance."

The soon reached a lush plain spread with undergrowth. Timone and Jade's boot sank into the undergrowth as they made their way to a ledge.

"I climbed here with my sword hands. Not fun."

Jade peered down below to see holes in the walls of the small cliff. "Certainly climbable." Jade assumed. Timone sighed, "It is. But it takes a lot of energy. So now we'll split. I'm staying up here. I'll guide you through your radio." Timone explained as he took a proning position and took out binoculars.

Jade landed below and saw many dead bots laying around, "You did this lot huh?" Jade asked as he locked up to Timone.

"*# Yeah, I needed to fight them off before climbing. They recovered though, but not many pursued.#*"

Jade continued forwards on Timone's lead and not long after, discovered a large building with a large Starr logo.

"I found it, Timone, the building with the Starr logo, yeah?"

"*# Affirmative. Don't touch the walls, there are cameras.#*" Jade understood and hid in the bushes.

"Now what?" Jade asked as he looked through the walls that were covered in vine.

"*# Enter when no guards are watching and wait for the cameras to move out of viewing range.#*"

Jade stalked the cameras and moved when they turned away.

He entered the compound and immediately hid behind walls as robot guards patrolled.

"*#Those guards will alert the compound if they see you.#*"

Jade sighed, "Of course..."

He moved forward as Timone told him where the camera's were located. Jade entered the building swiftly,

"*#There are no guards and cameras here. Reach the main hall, that's where the shard and all the chemists are.#*"

"Roger."

Jade strolled the halls and past the other hallways before reaching the room, "*#Security isn't tight in the morning. So we should attack before evening.#*"

Jade nodded and took some pictures of the area, he saw a boss robot at the end of the hall and a large generator behind it. The floor was narrowed down to a bridge and the edges were another floor below.

There were control panels everywhere with people manning them. There was also a large screen the spilt into even more screens, showing all the cameras for the compound. Many had people dressed in different outfits sleeping inside cells.

Jade snapped some pictures before receiving a radio call from Timone.

"*# The generator is what keeps this place running. If you destroy it, the whole place would go crumbling down. Get some pictures and we gotta get out here. If not, you'll be the next guy in the cells.#*"

Jade stood up and crouched away before running down the hall. Unfortunately a robot had came in from patrol and saw Jade.

Sirens went off and Jade growled before slicing the robot's head off. "Stupid piece of metal."

He started sprinting towards the exit as the door slowly closed.

"*# What did you do? What's going on?#*"

Jade cursed, "Freaking robot came outta nowhere and now the compound's on high alert!"

Jade summoned a sword and stepped on it as he started riding it towards the exit. Jade looked behind him and saw chemist with crossbows. They fired but Jade was too fast. He slid down from the closing doors just in time before it closed down, locking the chemists inside.

However, Starrpark wasn't done yet. The patrol bots took out weapons and moved towards Jade.

"*# This is exactly what I had to face. Run!#*"

Jade smirked before summoning a few swords and sending towards the three bots in front of him.

He then one-handed his shotgun and fired at the bot on the left before throwing his shotgun at the right bot and sprinting towards it. He used the crystal's power to jump high and kick the bot in the face.

His shotgun returned to him and he smacked the head of the sniper bot clean off before grabbing the head and throwing it towards another bot.

The other security bots came from the walls of the building's borders but Jade started moving out to the cliff and hovering before flying out of the compound.

"Timone, let's get outta here!"

Timone looked up while he was running, seeing Jade flying from above and shooting his rifle, sweat trickling from his head.

"Way ahead of you buddy." Timone shouted, "I'm already running!"

The two escaped from Starrpark as they returned back to base.

Pam unlocked the doors as Jade and Timone destroyed the remaining chasing robots.

"You guys actually made it!" Pam clapped as the doors closed, locking any rogue robots out.

"Bravo! Did you see anything?"

Jade took out the photos he had taken and passed them on the table in front of Pam, "We attack tomorrow." Jade suggested. Pam looked at Jade and nodded, "While they're still vulnerable." She agreed.

Timone and Jade met up in private and stuck to the deal, "Here's the first shard Jade. One more step for you and Brawl Stars."

Jade nodded and received, "You keep to your word. I'll be present at the battle tomorrow. Let's just hope that Starrpark isn't ready."

Timone chuckled, "They'd be ready to kill me on sight! Heheh."

"Then I'll meet you tomorrow then, Timone."

"Yeah..." the two left each other to their own ways, they had to get enough sleep for the big day tomorrow right?

"Has it been done? Yes? Good...tomorrow morning, Brawl Stars attacks. We need the right tools for the job. And end them once and for all. It's a good thing Jade is coming along as well. We'll need his power on our side."
