Devon chuckled. He liked this new group dynamic. He was actually surprised that all the ghosts had been decently friendly. He glanced at Dirk. He didn't understand the man. He had a deep desire for friendship, good friendship, but something was blocking him. Devon could see into the souls and find what makes them tick. For Toby, he always got 2 readings and could never distinguish them. Sam just wanted to help others, Angel wanted a normal life, Jeremiah just was happy to be back, and more was just trying to avoid the thing in the VR helmet, Sarah wanted to go back to normal and himself. He just wanted to escape Kelsey. In limbo, he wasn't with Kelsey, but he just wanted to pass on. And now he was back. How long until Kelsey came back. I will fucking kill him. Devon tensed up. Gregory nudged him and he blinked back into reality.
"Zoned out?" Gregory asked quietly. Devon nodded. He hadn't even noticed that Freddy was standing next to him until he shook his head to get the hair out of his face. Suddenly having the bear next to him caused him to flinch slightly. He looked at the group.
"Let me at him!" Alec was swinging his little arms at Dirk.
"I am just saying that you are small," Dirk defended himself.
"Yeah. You're gonna have to say goodbye to ankles," Sam said. Dirk gave him a look of, it's your child get it. Toby was having trouble holding onto Alec and was getting kicked in the thighs by the small animatronic.
"Can someone please help me?" Toby asked. His grip was loosening on Alec. Freddy took a step over to Toby and gently took Alec from him.
"Alec, it is rude to attack other people," Freddy said. Alec stopped struggling and gave Freddy a look of, does it look like I care.
"Fazbear, where are you?" Vanessa yelled as she walked into the loading bay.
"Near the truck, Officer Vanessa," Freddy replied. Vanessa walked over and saw Alec and gave Freddy a glare. She then turned to Nole. She had taken the first morning shift as well, so she was quite tired, but she'd be able to start a little later on the nightshift, forcing Laurence to take the first hour of it.
"You. I won't call the police if you pay for an entry pass," she says swiftly.
"Sure let me grab my wallet," Nole smiled. He pulled out his wallet.
"How much?" he asked.
"Well. It depends. Are you going to stay with these morons or wander around?" Vanessa asked.
"Actually, I was going to ask you if we could wander around. Devon found illusion disks and we can use them to look human," Sam said. Vanessa thought about it for a minute.
"Look if you aren't lying and that works for you, Freddy and the gang can get you the passes for the attractions you want. Just don't cause issues," Vanessa said. Nole looked at Vanessa with a look of, hey how much.
"Oh. Right. $60. You can get attraction passes from Freddy as well. Although I am not sure about your little friend," Vanessa stated, gesturing to Alec. He grumbled at her, but she paid no attention to it. Nole handed her $60 in cash. She was a bit confused on why he still carried cash but shrugged and took it. She handed him an entry pass.
"Freddy, you have a show in 15 minutes. Head on up, get them the passes and get on stage," Vanessa stated. Freddy nodded and she walked off. The group walked to Freddy's greenroom and Gregory ran to grab Jeremiah and the girls. Freddy pinged Roxanne and Chica to bring them some spare attraction passes. They all were in the greenroom and Sam and Jeremiah were handing out illusion disks and explaining how they worked. Toby finally out one on and the ears on the top of his head looked fluffier and had depth now, not just shadowy. The shadow covering half of his face and the white over his eye were gone. He looked quite pale and was overall really jittery. Sarah was so excited to look like herself again. Devon had helped her put the illusion disks in the inside of her face panels, which she recently found out she could open. Freddy was extremely unsettled by Sarah. He didn't like the mask. Angel looked like herself, just without the gumdrop on her. Nole was arguing with Alec about whether or not he should wear one. They eventually decided to let Sam carry Alec, saying it was an old merchandise thing they'd gotten off of eBay. Delilah was thrilled to be human again, but her excitement couldn't match Devon's. He was parading around the room happily saying he had a face. Jeremiah also had one and was watching Devon with a curious expression. The boy was odd. Sometimes he was an angry teenager, other times he was as excitable as a toddler. Freddy had taken to the boy nicely, being a father figure of sorts.
"Freddy we gotta go," Roxy said as she pulled the last Roxy Raceway pass out of her side storage compartment.
"Of course. We will see you soon," Freddy said happily before leaving the room with the girls. They needed to get Monty and head to the stage. Monty had finished fixing up the pipe in Monty Golf, but it was still a bit wet, so they were going to avoid it. Nole felt bad for basically free-loading off of the ghosts, but he'd gotten to meet all of them, and it was nice. Angel was happy to see him, but it was clear she was upset about something. Gregory had made himself the group leader and was organizing how they would spend their time there.
"Let's go watch their show!" he smiled.
