Rhaenyra walked into Helaena and Mera's room to find her asleep on her back with her hands crossed over her chest as if she was a dead person. "Mera...Meranyce." Her sharp blue eyes shot open as she glared at the ceiling before she sat up with her hands supporting her back.
"Father." She said with a small hint of excitement as Laenor walked in with a beaming smile. "I have a gift for my dear little Maegor." Her father had a thing with sarcasm and jests.
Mera's lips twitched up as he walked over with a box and had a large blue ribbon on top. She was about to open it before Laenor stopped her, "It is best that you open it at night." Mera nodded before Rhaenyra smiled at her and said, "Why don't we get you dressed and then we can go and celebrate."
Mera nodded as Laenor kissed her cheek and left before she jumped out of bed as her mother then helped her into her dress. A fluffy black dress with toned colors of dark blue under the sunlight. Her mother braided her hair into a crown as she placed pearls into her hair.
Mera looked to see Helaena sleeping as she hummed before she strutted out of her room with a plain face as she walked to breakfast. "Mera! My gorgeous granddaughter! It is lovely to see you in some color." Viserys exclaimed as he placed a kiss on her forehead before Mera hummed as her curtsy was forgoed much to Alicents annoyance. It really was barely any color.
Jace and Luke smiled to her with a mouth full of eggs and bacon as she nodded at them before she widened her eyes and walked to the table. "Your still alive." Aemond rolled his eyes with his mouth stuffed with pan-flaps. He was dressed in a green tunic with golden dragons embroidered on before Aegon strutted in.
"Ryn!"
Mera rolled her eyes as she grabbed her dress and sat down, its ruffles ruffling up as Aegon went over and placed a juicy kiss on her cheek that made her want to throw her breakfest up. He took out a dark green box and smiled to her, "A gift for you."
She glared him up and down and placed her toast down before opening it to a small snowflake charm with sapphires and diamonds embedded on. It was rarely sweet of him to do so without a prank or a trick.
"It's very pretty Aegon." She said with a straight face as her tone was flat.
He smiled as Aemond swallowed his food bitterly before he took a seat next to Mera. She looked around awkwardly before taking a sip of her juice and washing down her breakfast. Mera squinted as she watched Aegon stuff pies and meat into his mouth, gorging on whatever was in front of him.
She quickly lost her appetite at the sight as she began to make art with her food. "Mera," she looked up to her grandfather who smiled and said, "We have a gift for you at the docks right now, shall we go see?"
Mera nodded sharply as Viserys got up along with the rest of the family. "What is it grandpapa?" Luke asked as Viserys smiled, "We shall see shan't we?" Mera hummed as Aegon quickly stuffed his mouth to Alicents clear disgust.
He and his brother walked along with the entire royal family and the King's Guards to carriages as Mera was put in with the rest of the kids. She rolled her eyes at Luke's blabbering before they had finally arrived. Aegon stumbled out while Aemond shyly got out. He looked around the shimmering waters and docks as a enormous object was covered by a shimmering silk cloth with the Velaryon sigil embroidered on.
The morning sun glimmered behind the large object as it blinded everyone. Only Mera widened her eyes as she looked at the sight before Laenor walked over and placed a captains hat on her head before handing her a silver Velaryon spyglass.
Mera hummed as she fixed her enormous hat, warming everyones hearts as the ship keepers smiled at their little princess.
He kneeled down and said, "This is a spyglass, a sailor can see for hundreds and hundreds of feet at a time with this."
