Mera shot open her eyes as she glared up at her canopy. She uncrossed her arms and sat up before getting up and changing into a small black silk dress with black birds embroidered on while she paired it with a laced peter pan collar. Finally, she placed a sapphire in the middle of her collar.
She walked to the spiraling staircase before taking a step and walking up. Every step she took, the stairs became more steep and uneasy before Mera got to the top. The maids had cleaned her room and replaced the old pillows and blankets with new black silk ones. She smiled and looked outside to the rainy and dark morning.
Gods I love this.
Mera smiled as she hummed before she walked down the stairs and grabbed her book before returning to her reading corner.
"Princess?"
"Come!"
Dennise walked in with a smile. "Princess, your mother asks for you to join breakfast with her and your brothers." Mera slammed her book shut as she rolled her eyes before walking down the spiral staircase.
She had just gotten comfortable and now she needed to go down again. Mera threw her book at her desk as Dennise followed her out. She stormed down her stairs with her usual glare and scowl before she walked to breakfast.
"Mera!"
Her mother was filling her plate as her brothers were devouring everything in their sight. "
Good morrow mother."Rhaenyra smiled as she placed her plate down and walked over. She tried to place a kiss on Mera's forehead only for her to take a step back. "Where is father?" Mera said as she eyed the empty chair before Rhaenyra said, "Your father is currently down by the docks."
She hummed and nodded. "May I be excused now?"
"But you haven't broken—" Rhaenyra turned to see Mera already gone as she sighed and returned to her food.
"Stay Den. I'll see you when I get back."
"Of course princess." Denise curtsied as Mera walked off.
The great doors of Dragonstone were lurched open as she short statured Mera strolled through with her hands behind her back. She smiled and sighed as the salty and grey skied air of the morning. It was all in all, very much to her liking.
She turned and walked down the stairs before the sudden lost of Mera's footing made her fall to the soft sand as her black boots and hands had hit the soft and wet sand of the beaches of Dragonstone. Her head was immediately wretched back as she sucked in a sharp breath of air.
A girl walked off a black boat as the sails of House Targaryen were behind her in hundreds and hundreds of ships. She wore a black dress with a high neckline and long cape sleeves that flapped in the wind while her hair was braided in all sorts of intricate braids. She kneeled down as she adirmered Dragonstone as if she had never seen it before. Her ring'd hand was placed gently on the sand as she closed her eyes before getting up and turning towards Mera.
"There is a ghost beyond the wall."
Ser Steffon Darklyn ran down the stairs as he helped Mera up. "Princess!"
She gasped as her eyes flipped back before she wiped the bloodied tear from her face. "I'm fine Ser, thank you."
He nodded hesitantly before Mera got up and went off on her walk as she brushed the sand off her dress.
It was peaceful. Only the soft sounds of waves, wind, and yells of merchants from the docks were heard as Mera headed off to find her father. The haze from her vision had cleared up as Mera rubbed her eyes and squinted. She could feel her eyes clouding up with blood every now and then.
