"Mmm" I muttered as I took a bite from the sushi in front of me, "this is so good".

Rachel nodded in agreement as she also did the same.

My phone buzzed on the marble table in front of us and a familiar name appeared on the Lock Screen. Maybe: Lando

"Who's that?" Rachel queried as she relaxed back into the sofa, wine glass resting in her right hand.

"It's Lando."

"Who's Lando?" Rachel smirked and raised her eyebrow.

I laughed at her disgusted reaction. Of course she didn't remember who Lando was, she was hammered.

"Lando from the bar last week." I replied and followed her actions by sinking into the sofa, taking a sip of my white wine.

"You met a guy at the bar and didn't bother to tell me?!" Rachel placed a hand over her heart, mockingly and chuckled before taking a swig.

"We both met Lando at the bar. Along with his other friends."

"Wait, what?" She leaned forward to grab another piece of sushi.

"Of course you don't remember, Rach." I chuckled and opened my phone to read the message.

Maybe: Lando
We are at the bar again tonight, if you're up for it? It'll be a laugh.

"He's invited us out." I turned my phone towards Rachel so she could read.

"Right, come on then!"

Rachel jolted up from the sofa and dusted off any evidence of food from her black slip dress.

"You can't be serious?" I responded and stood up to meet her eye line.

Of course she was serious. Rachel never wanted to miss any social event.

That's where we were different. Rachel was outgoing and fun and all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and hide myself from the world. A little ironic considering I was trying to become a successful model. Rachel oozed confidence and had all the qualities to make it, whilst I would be better matched at hiding away.

"Oh come on Ames!" Rachel cheered and walked her way to the front door, grabbing her car keys.

"If we are going out, you are not driving me there." I chuckled and ran after her.

"Oh yes I am, bitch!" She swung the front door open and made her way to the Audi parked on our driveway "Get in the pussy wagon!"

We arrived at the bar, thankfully in one piece. Rachel's driving was questionable to say the very least. Driving quickly, late breaking and never paying attention to the road. She certainly kept you on your toes.
