CHAPTER 60 s2
(Not proof read)
Jungwon was studying at the library to lock in on his homework of the week. He liked to knock all of it all at once so that he could focus on training instead. It's been 5 months ever since Sullyoon had left for New York. 5 months since she they both confessed their feelings for each other. Even after knowing their true feelings for each other, nothing was done about it. She went to the States while Jungwon stayed back. He didnt do anything to stop her or any act passion, and maybe he should have. But Jungwon was practical. He knew the social statuses of the kids that go to this school, and he knew going in that he wasn't one of them. So locking in this semester to take his mind off things was his sole focus and goal. Though, this didn't stop Sullyoon from popping in to his head most of the time.
Meanwhile, where Sullyoon is, sat in her very nice Penthouse in New York City. She got exactly what she wanted. She flew to New York, attending her dream school, living in her posh penthouse, what else would be missing. As soon as she stepped in the city the first time, she felt this sense of accomplishment but hollow at the same time. She frequently thought of the last conversation she had with Jungwon, how they told each other they liked each other. It just kept replaying in her head, the way she felt and what she felt after.
It was easier to make Jungwon the bad guy for a while. This was her way to try to forget about him. "Why didn't he do anything about it?" She often thought to herself when she would find herself thinking of him. But there will also be times where she would just lay in bed and miss him. she would scroll through their last messages at just read but never dare send anything. Their last text was from Jungwon saying: "Have a safe flight."
Sullyoon was mad at herself. "Why am I hung up on that loser." She said to herself, saying loser in an endearing way almost. There was so many guys in New York she could meet, school, organically at a coffee shop, or even a dating app. But none of them peaked her interest. She also would recognize that she would often almost entertain a guy only when she was thinking of Jungwon, then completely back out. This made her blood boil. Why did he still have a hold on her. Was it because he was the first guy she's ever been involved with? The fact that Jungwon was her first time? No, that couldn't be it.
It was now late at night, Sullyoon was coming home from from a group project/study group when she received a message from her mother.
*TEXT*
Mother: Yoon, dont forget about your Father's Birthday next week?
Mother: We're holding a party at the main mansion. Your sisters are coming. I expect this much from you as well.
Sullyoon sighed, almost forgetting about the event that was planned months in advance. She opens her browser app and booked the flight to Korea without a second thought. She opens up her messages again to text her mother back.
Sullyoon: Yes Mother, I just booked the flight. I'll be there next week.
She threw her phone on the bed then ploppped down right after. Her face was buried in her pillow. without lifting her head, she tried to feel for her phone again and grabbed it. "Should I text him?" Her asked herself while opening messages app searching for Jungwon's name. 5 months of no communication, why should it be her to reach out? She looked at his last text again before closing the app again.

A week quickly passed, Jungwon was sitting in class at as he was figuring out how to solve a math problem. The professor of their class was absent for today so the sub gave them the option to use class time a study session or they were free to leave. Jungwon stayed because it was a nice change of place to study in the classroom rather than the library. "Studying hard I see." A voice approaching his as Jungwon finally looked up. A warm smile was given to him as they met each other's eyes. Kim Minji, a recent transfer student thants also on the school's scholarship. "Yeah, I'm trying to." He playfully responded. "You came to bother me?" He said joking again at her.
