(Chapter 67) One in the same.

A uneased Charoline and a new Jess stand before eachother. As Charoline shifts back the ground, Jess steps down from her sword.

JSS: You hold great power over this realm. So tell me... why haven't you defeated me yet?
CHAR: It's because you're stronger than I anticipated.
JSS: Lies. There's something much sinister in your plan. I won't let you fulfill it.

Jess dashes towards Charoline, swinging her sword. Charoline dodges back and sways her hand up, pulling a pillar out of the ground and hitting Jess in the stomach. Jess grabs the pillar and uses it to propel herself towards Charoline. She throws her sword towards Charoline, which is blocked and thrown to the side. Jess uses that moment of hesitation and punches Charoline across the face before going back to pick up her sword. Charoline stands back up from the ground and cleans the blood of her face. Jess dashes forwards. Charoline clashes her hands together, making the walls close in. Jess stops the walls from crushing her with quick reflexes, putting her sword in between.

CHAR: Your sword is quite tough I have to say.
JSS: You'd be suprised to learn what it's made from.
CHAR: Huh? It's not metal?
JSS: It's made from the same material that was made to create the soul reactor.
CHAR: What?! Soul reactor?!
JSS: Seems like you're suprised.
CHAR: I didn't think there would be leftovers from that project. I was wrong it seems.
JSS: You haven't seen its' full power yet.
CHAR: What are we waiting for then?

Charoline pushes back the walls and dashes towards Jess. She forms a sword out of the ground and swings. Jess blocks the strike and dodges behind Charoline, striking her in the back with the swords' handle. Jess slams her foot on her back. Charoline is pinned to the ground.

JSS: You're suprisingly weak. I don't know why I was panicking in the beginning.
CHAR: Me... weak... no... why am I losing..?
JSS: Hmm? Seems like she's finally gone crazy. I better end this before something else happens.
CHAR: I can't... lose... Rhett... wait for me..!

Jess gets ready to thrust her sword into Charolines back, finally ending this fight.
*WAVE*
Jess gets thrown away and lands on her feet.

JSS: What the hell was that?!

Charoline slowly pushes herself back onto her knees.

CHAR: I am not going to give up... for I am... her.

Charoline reaches for her blade, picking it up and thrusting it into her chest.

JSS: What did you just say?!
CHAR: You can't... defeat me.
*BOOM*

A giant explosion covers the entire area. Jess is left confused and frightened. This is just the beginning.
