(Chapter 161) Awakening.

The rays of light slowly crawl behind the horizon. A gust of wind passes through, waving our combatants' hair. Noires' face has started to get distorted. Geno takes a deep breath.

GNO: (This feeling... it's without a doubt her. Tsk, at least they fought well. Frisk will deal with her and my job's to make sure that beast doesn't get through!)

Noire dashes towards Geno and swings her claws. Geno carefully dodges and shifts through reality and appears behind Noire, readying their hand to deal a devastating blow. Noire realises in time and turns around, blocking the attack with her arms. She gets pushed back. Geno chases after her and goes for another strike, but Noire dodges and grabs Genos' face, slamming them into the tiles. Geno shifts through space to get some distance and regain their composure. Noire thrusts her claws into the tiles and throws them at Geno.

GNO: Data Sight!

Geno closes their eyes and swiftly moves through each projectile, closing the gap between them and Noire. Noire sways her claws towards the incoming enemy.

GNO: The vision of data reigns above all. Nothing can escape my sight.

Geno leaps over the attack and lands sat on Noires' back.

GNO: Quite a cozy back, you have.

Noire grabs Genos' leg and slams her into the ground. Noire takes a deep breath.

GNO: That was kinda close, hehe.

Noire turns around to see Geno sat down with their legs crossed, bopping their body side to side. Geno mumbles a melody. This irritates Noire even more.

NOR: Đɨɇ... ȺłɍɇȺđɏ.

Noire lunges towards Geno and sways her claws relentlessly. Geno stands back up and stretches before swiftly dodging through each attack. They jump over, duck under, and move calmly.

GNO: (*sigh*, I really had no reason to worry. Seems like I was just too scared, but now that I'm all calmed down, I can see and read each of her movements. She's so stiff!)

Geno continues to dodge without a worry, whilst Noire is getting more and more furious with each passing second. She stops for a moment and wipes the drool off of her mouth. Geno looks confused as to why she would stop the barrage of attacks. Noire raises her head and locks eyes with Geno. This strikes a sense of fear into them. Noire lunges towards Geno and sways her claws in one full motion. Geno shifts facade to dodge, but...

NOR: Enough of your tricks.

Noire reaches out her claws and pierces through the fabric of reality.

GNO: Ehh?!

She tears off Genos' face and pulls them out of the other side. Geno tries to create distance but Noire grabs their neck and thrusts her claws through Genos' chest, pulling their soul out.

NOR: This ends here.

Noire crushes Genos' soul to pieces. They lie on the ground, lifeless and devoid of essence. Noire drops to her knees and almost passes out from fatigue.

NOR: (I only won because I managed to control my awakened state. If that rampage where to go on, Geno would've for sure came out victorious.)

Noire rests on top of the palace tiles. Akumu spurts out of her skin.

AKU: Don't you have an ally to aid?
NOR: I'd be of no use to Rhett in this state.
AKU: Heal yourself using them.
NOR: Oh right, I can do that.

Noire sits up and pulls Genos' body closer to her. She presses her palm on their chest. Akumu thrusts its' roots into the deceased body and siphons whatever life force is left.
