It's hotter today than usual. Loyd is enjoying himself an ice cream whilst sitting on the balcony. Suddenly, Komi barges through the door.
KMI: Sir! This is urgent!
LYD: *yawn* What is it?
KMI: Both Jess, knight of Integrity, and Robin, knight of bravery, have fallen in combat.
LYD: *slam* What?! Robin lost to the harbinger?!
KMI: Yes sir! Our reports also say that the harbinger will head for our city next!
LYD: (Shit, shit, shit! I wasn't ready for Robin to lose! I have to up the defenses right away!)
KMI: Sir, you seem distress-
LYD: Alert all trainees! From now on, I will be training them!
KMI: Yes sir!
Komi storms out of the quarters and goes to alert all trainees to gather to the training grounds in an hour. Loyd looks off the balcony. He puts the chair back in place and picks up the ice cream from the ground and throws it into the trash. After an hour, all the trainees have gathered and Loyd stands before them.
LYD: From now on, I'll be training your weak asses and trying to at least help you achieve a level of mediocre fighting power.
RK1: What?! You are underestimating us!
RK2: Yeah! Stop talking as if you're way better.
LYD: You seriously underestimate the gap between us. Let me show you how big it really is. Komi, raise the targets please.
Komi presses a button on her tab and a set of targets spring out in the distance.
LYD: What you see there are 50 targets, each suited with a coated protection layer made by steel.
RK3: We can take those down!
LYD: Those are for me to obliterate. Now shut up and witness what real power is.
Loyd whips out his revolver and aims at the targets. He charges up his weapon and fires. A bullet gets released from the chamber. In the blink of an eye, not only the targets but the ground near it is obliterated. The rookies look shocked.
LYD: What you've just seen is the power of a knight, something you can't achieve. Although I will try my best to give everyone here a decent chance of survival against the harbinger. Key word, survival. Now the training really starts.
Loyd stares at the rookies, filling them with justice.
